Looks nice, although description doesn't say anything about a magnet? Does this version come with a magnet?

Can it light up a whole room?
Like a night lamp?

I have had one of these for a few years. The magnet is cheap and loses its magnetism quickly so in a few years it barely sticks to anything. The beams are also very directional like a spot light, rather than a floodlight. This is a problem when using the hook, or magnet as it hard to find a spot that will light what you want to see properly. You're better off spending a little more on one that uses LEDs with a wide beam so it's more like a floodlight. It's great value, just beware of it's limitations.

is it possible for a cheap magnet to just lose its magnetism? this didn't seem right but i had to look it up.
not by the nature of its quality. http://www.physlink.com/Education/AskExperts/ae472.cfm
either by heat, by exposure to a demagnetising field, or via shock (for certain materials)

They use alnico magnets on these. They are the easiest to demagnetise. Not ideal for an inspection lamp.

I received that email too, saying that the item was out of stock and wouldn't be delivered until 16th November. When I ordered it there were still over 800 showing in stock. They obviously don't work on a first come first served basis.
Good value but..............
I ordered mine 2 days ago and just told delivery is w/c 16/11
No-one mentioned out of stock when ordering

Thanks OP  I got one but wish i'd ordered a couple more. Damn good quality for the price and bright enough for my needs. Pity they're out of stock at the moment. Due delivery for more is sometime in December but you can set up an email alert for stock which is what i've just done

Anyone received these yet? Got an email now saying that more stock won't be due in until December 3th, nearly 2 months after my order. Taking orders for products that aren't in stock is poor business practice in my view.

Same here (as CSmith) but I've not had any follow up email. Except
for those offering me other products. Would I be likely to buy anything else?
Very poor performance
