Cheap watch anyway but with the code CITZ15 it's a steal at 65% off.

£167.00 for a battery free, 200m, Titanium chrono from a superb manufacturer (I own 7 Eco drives) via a tried and tested supplier ( I bought 4 watches from them and never had a glitch or paid duty) and he wants sapphire glass, give me strength!

agreed, for this price... no sapphire, no deal. too bad as I like the styling.

very similar to my titanium one. had it about 8 years, and worn every day. never missed a beat and still in excellent condition. I paid a lot more than this also.

I have the leather strap version of this watch. It's worked perfectly for 5-6 years and never had a problem with it.
Very good price, although I do have to agree that it would benefit from having sapphire glass - you can tell the difference (I have another sapphire glass eco-drive). That's not knocking this hot deal though, it's a lot of watch for the money.

How about import tax?

It's gamble. Most watches from them are marked as "precision measurement device" (which isn't exactly lying  ), gifts or state silly values, but some sent from Japan are fully insured and invoice for full price is attached. Probably 7/10 people get away with it but if you're unlucky there will be duty, tax and handling fee to cover.

If you really need sapphire, the same dealer has the CA4010-58A, also an Eco-Drive titanium chrono, for £162 (not sure the discount code works on that watch though). Doesn't look nearly as good as the OP's watch though, imho.

I bought an Orange Monster from them around 3yrs ago, had no problems at all. Fast, tracked delivery, watch well packaged. I'd happily buy again from them.

From the style of their website they are in China.

They are based in Singapore. Free Shipping to uk is faster than most uk companies. Brilliant tracking service too. They are grey imports though, the warranty is with creation, so need to send back to them if you have a problem. Big savings against uk prices though. I would have no hesitation buying from them again. And anyone concerned if genuine, yes they are. Creation are pretty well respected in the watch buying world....
There is this one for people who want sapphire... But only 100m water resistant. Nice looking watch too sapphire watch

Warranty not honoured
splender
19 Oct 15#24
In effect You honour warranty yourself, that's how it works in countries with no warranty. You save 20% money per item for no warranty, then with all purchases the amount of money saved is enough to offset the less than 3% rate of failures, especially with reliable brands which is less than 1%. Likewise with extended warranty, again you honour extended warranty yourself by not paying for these premiums. Just add up the £100, £50, £40,..extra money for extended warranty or insurance for all the major items in the house, one would save a large amount of money to buy new for a failed appliance.

None of the sapphire glass ones linked to are perpetual calendars.
Lack of sapphire may be a negative, but to me at least, lack of perpetual calendar is a big negative. My eco-drive is a perpetual one (not sure about the glass TBH? But I've had it 6 years and theres not a scratch on it) and I'd hate to go back to the fiddling that goes with non-perpetual calendars on an analog watch .....

Once or two clicks of the crown once a month isn't what I call a big hassle.

What rubbish... if a warranty is part of the contract of sale it should be honoured, whatever price paid.

I own this watch, and would definitely recommend it. I bought it during a previous active HUKD post.
The whole design, build quality, and weight are great. The solar panels are cleverly hidden and integrated in to the watch, and the perpetual Calendar is a great feature.
Programming is a little complicated, and so is flipping by between GMT / BST, compared to traditional analogue watches, but you get used to it.
Watch keeps perfect time, and spends most of its time under my sleeve, and never asks to be charged, the few seconds a day glancing at the time exposes the watch to enough light to keep it charged for up to 2 years.
It used to retail £350 - £400 in local shops, so this is a good price!
