I bought a 55cc petrol brushcutter from Trueshopping website a month back. Its heavy but very powerful and was fantastic value. Seems robust enough and was about a fifth of the price of a Stihl (not comparing quality and longevity) and was a good buy.

Electric strimmers are awful, i found it was actually quicker to bend down and cut the grass using a pair of shears!

Thanks, seems like a great price. Not sure what brand it is but I've ordered one. Can't go wrong for £6.99 even if it's naff.

They save on cost, so you just have to use an extension cable when you use it.
My concern, what else have they scrimped on to keep costs down.
Cannot find the corded version on Amazon though.
