Winter is Coming.
That's where Jon snow went wrong, he could have just stuck one of these over a White Walker and confused it till Spring!

I was disappointed with what I received but for the money can I complain.
Its actually more of an internal sun screen protector but their customer service team tells me it doubles as a frost protector when turned around. I initially didn't open my delivery as the product states on the packaging and has an image of an internal sun screen protector and I didn't want to open a New but incorrectly delivered wrong item.
I will open it now and see.

VW also use heated windscreens.
Although I can't find any actual evidence, the general theory is that the patent Ford held which expired in 2010/11 may have related just to the name 'quickclear'. It may have also related to the way it was designed but like I say, I cannot find any real evidence for what is the actually correct.
Quickclear is also a Herpes cream (second result on Google).

I've a gravel drive so the result is a few bits of gravel frozen together. Agreed it can cause skating issues elsewhere though. The point is, people think this solves a problem but the side windows still need clearing. You still see idiots who scrape a 4" hole on the drivers side and think this affords them all the visibility required though. Doh.

I'm open to correction here but I thought Ford had some sort of copyright or patent on the design and so receive money from every other company that uses it. My 2003 Mini had it, it's a Godsend.

I quite like using warm water too, but if you are a bit heavy handed, a fair amount of water runs onto the pavement/road where it refreezes.

Yes I find this to be the biggest issue, you then have a lovely home made ice rink...
Why more manufacturers do not have quick clear windscreens like a lot of Ford's do is beyond me like my Mondeo. Christ even my 1998 Escort had one

I have been using the warm water for long time and my windscreen and Windows are fine, effective than using a condum for the car...

I always use kettle, warm water does the job in seconds

So the windscreen is clear but the rest of the car is still completely frosted over including the size windows.... So just chuck WARM (not hot) water over twice... Once to clear the ice and once to warm the glass slightly so it doesn't re freeze again before the car warms up.
And before anyone says "it will crack your screen" - I've been doing it for nearly 30 years and it hasn't cracked any of my glass ever. The key is "WARM" not hot.
It's loads less hassle and much quieter than scrape scrape scrape. Oh and it saves putting this on each night and still having to clear the side windows.

Anyone know if this attaches to the windscreen somehow or will it just fly off in strong winds?
