Never seen Caramac Buttons before, but grabbing a good handful of these retro sweets and chomping down on them, seems a good idea to me

As mentioned, taste nothing like Caramac. I tried one bag and not nice at all. I was so looking forward to them I even bought a 2nd bag from a different retailer in the hope the 1st bag might have been a bad batch. Unfortunately the 2nd bag was the same and was not even remotely close to the taste of Caramac.

Going to get some today as they are finally back in stock! LOL
I had never seen them so thought we didn't sell them. I checked the order pad for them & was shocked to see the sales history! Over the last 5 weeks they it's been (in cases) 0-0-0-1.6-23! Then they've gone unavailable until 8 cases came in today.

Thought it was just me but taste nothing like caramac. Gutted. Although now I have an excuse to buy more chocolate!

These big bags are shrinking all the time. A year ago, a bag of Cadbury Giant buttons were 148g, now they're a shade over 100g and just about worth a pound, same story here.

The manufacturers realise that £1 is the customers (me!) sweet spot and so all they can do is reduce the amount of chocolate per bag (the usual scam really). Not quite sure what will happen when they go under 100g. Civil war?
Now all I need is for them to bring back the Caramac ice cream bars that disappeared off the shelves 2 years ago!

I have an addiction to Ben & Jerry's chocolate fudge brownie, but I keep it to myself.
I take it out of the freezer very quietly, sneak past my husband watching something on tv then me, ben & jerry and chocolate brownie spend the whole length of time it takes to get through the tub together.
There I feel so much better now I've got that off my chest.

Oh can't we put a stop to these people listing these temptations. I feel sick from the 2 scones with jam and cream that I felt compelled to buy and eat today  I didnt even tell my husband either :sunglasses:

They may have fallen into the same trap as another manufacturer did some years ago. The shape of their bars changed the way the chocolate components melted. Doesn't bother me too much as I gorge on any choc.

They're horrible. Got them for this price at Pound-stretchers. They have massive stocks of them left because no one would buy them after the first try.

To someone who can't currently eat any food or drink anything other than water, this is sexy.
Because when I'm able to eat again, I can't have chocolate, so Caramac buttons? Ima get fat.
To be fair, Caramac was always better than real chocolate anyway

I think they're very similar, maybe a little more subtle in taste but being quite big buttons, they're lush to suck on, very easy to eat the whole bag though, avoided since scoffing them all once.

110g for these bags is disappointing but I'll avoid if the taste is nothing like Caramac itself.
