Someone have posted this before 9 months ago. (I have checked!!) but as festive seasons is around the corner so might be good to remind people of this great deal. You need a nectar card and it is FREE!!!
I am sure many of you knows about my coupons by Sainsburys, well good for you. However, for those who are not aware of it, I would like to share this with you as it really bump up your nectar points fast. Christmas is coming soon and hopefully this helps you in saving some bucks by collecting points.
How this works:
Just 3 steps - select, shop and enjoy.
Step 1 - Once registered, select up to 5 of your favourite coupons and add them to your coupon wallet.
Step 2 - Just shop in store* or online and remember to swipe your Nectar card. *Excludes Sainsbury's convenience stores.
Step 3 - Your bonus Nectar points will be automatically added to your account.
Best of all, the coupons printed from the store is totally seperately from my coupons website which means is it stackable! You earn double!
Example: - You have a physical coupon for earning 300 points from spending £15 in store and you have activated the coupon for earning 300 points from spending £15 on mycoupons website. You will get a total of 600 points!
*** Don't give this deal a cold just because coupons not showing in your profile please. Be patience! You won't immidiately get coupons showing in your profile. You have to wait for their system to customize based on your purchase history. It will shows up soon. Even robot are not that smart, they need to read too!! ***

I forget about this, so thanks for the reminder.
Having said that, out of all the coupons I have only 3 I would even consider using, and due to Sainsbury's response to the supermarket war being to raise their prices on the products I buy rather than bother matching the others, none of those three coupons are actually worth using compared to just going to one of their competitors!
I see the press made some deal about Sainsbury's market share going up compared to Tesco/Asda. I expect that is a short-lived bump that happens when you put prices up. Consumers take a short while to wise up, then go elsewhere.

I keep getting lots of £6 worth of points for a £60 spend, I've had over £50 so far however some of the other coupons are hit and miss, it is a great deal though so I hope it lasts a while

Sorry I haven't read comment but thought it might be worth mentioning. If you have a paper coupon for say 5x points on your next shop over £XX and use it and also have a 3x points on your next shop voucher in my coupons both will apply to the same shop when you spend the requisite amount. So real life example, my Dad also has a mini of my card and spent £92 a couple of days ago. He used a 5x paper voucher and got 460 points straight away and I've just got an email from my coupons saying my 3x points has tracked, this will be 184 points as it will assume I've already had 92 credited. This has worked a couple of times now. Plus there was 200 points on other my coupon vouchers, this came to £9.36 for the double up promotion. Worth having for little effort just hope we can find something to spend it on in November.

An important point to mention is that if by chance they fail to award your "Mycoupons" points on your nectar card, then call sainsbury,s care line 0800 636 262 Monday to Friday 8am - 10pm Saturday 8am - 7pm Sunday 10am - 4pm and let them know You will be awarded the lost points and my experience is that a few extra for your trouble Cheers

Another way to get free points is to add the Nectar extension to Chrome, and then search for Nectar related brands, such as Homebase, Nectar, iPad, LG, Samsung, you get 1 point for each valid search. So far I've got 13 points from 27 searches, boring I know but it's free points
robin5858 to fishmaster
21 Oct 15#48
You can also do that within the Nectar app on your phone and get uo 100 points a month. This is separate to the 100 points you can get via pc web browser. So that's 200 extra points a month for just doing what you would do via Google.

Something to mention is that:
So the coupons do run out so make sure if it's a good one to use it as soon as possible.
robin5858
21 Oct 151#49
Actually the extra points for shopping over a certain amount do run out within a week but the food coupons usually are vaild for 10 to 14 days.
Also a little trick I have noticed is if you pick coupons on the last day eg this month's is 27th, the coupon will still be valid in your wallet for 2 weeks after they change.
Just did this to get 40 points on buying milk.

22 Oct 151#73
You just have to select the coupons on the website (up to 5 only) and it will be automatically tracked when you made purchase on the coupons you have selected). Go to your wallet to add or remove your coupon selections and go to nectar.com to view the points collected. An email will be sent to you (the email address you have registered with) telling you that the points have been credited I to your nectar account.

A few questions:
on my coupons it currently says available until 27/10 (2 days from now)
yet when I add it to my coupons it says it can take up to 10 days to appear on my account.
Are they changing every week/month? Are they available past the 27/10?
A bit unclear, would love if someone can clarify.

Mostly when you click on the coupon you wanted to use, it will goes to the 1 of 5 max coupon allowance and you can use it right away by buying the item. The coupon will be greyed when used and once the transaction is verified by nectar point, new one will be available for next shopping depend on your buying history.
