Thought this was a fab price for a stay in a 17th-century inn in a beautiful part of the country.
Stays at a 17th-century inn in West Yorkshire's Brontë country are now less than £50 per person, including an upgrade, dinner and buck's fizz breakfast.
Worth over £160, this package from The Black Horse Inn saves 40% on the usual price
Guests stay in characterful Superior Double Rooms and get dinner for two in the AA-Rosette-awarded restaurant, plus a buck's fizz breakfast
The AA says "the kitchen aims high, delivering ambitiously creative dishes without ignoring old favourites"
On the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, the property is 20 minutes from Leeds and 50 minutes from the historic city of York
Last time we published a deal for this property, 98% of our members who reviewed their stay said they would recommend it, praising the "lovely rooms", "excellent food and service" and the "warm, friendly atmosphere"

Yes. Brighouse (or more importantly Clifton where this pub is) is less than a couple of miles from the M62, (the pub less than 1/2 a mile) M62, M621 can put you bang in the centre of Leeds in 10 mins if the motorway is moving no problem.
Most of Bradford isn't that near to the M62, centre especially so and usually the quickest route is via the A,B and Dual Carriageways but its much slower.

centre to centre maybe, J27 M62 (Morley, Leeds) to Brighouse is ~10mins, Brighouse is practically on the motorway junction.
Either way, if you want to spend 2 days in a pub then this is probably a good deal, there's sod all to do nearby

Brighouse is 5-10mins from Leeds, absolutely nowhere near the Yorkshire Dales, and a bit of a dump last time I ventured there

This is stretching the truth claiming that it is either in bronte country or the dales. I was born and raised in Howarth, and never heard anyone refer to Brighouse as bronte country, and this is in the Yorkshire dales like Luton is in London...

Went here for valentines with my girlfriend, got the train from Leeds so not that far, walked from the station probably took maybe 20-30 minutes, up quite a steep hill though so a taxi might have been a better idea. We thought it was a lovely little place, dinner was superb, definitely would go again, thanks OP, heat.

If it's in Brighouse its definitely not in the dales and a blatant lie, however there is definitely scenery fairly close by around Huddersfield etc

Has wonderful views over the local car auction while you get the wonderful countryside aroma if the winds blowing in the right direction from the nearby sewage treatment works....
It is about 15 miles away from Haworth which isn't really part of the Dales either...
Oh and the pub is pricey, the locals stuck up and parking poor.

Is saying stay at a 17th century inn another way of saying the ghosts are included in the price .:sunglasses:

This is in Brighouse, nowhere near Bronte Country or for that matter Yorkshire Dales. Haworth, home of the Brontes is a good 45 minute drive away and the dales further.

it is however, on the edge of the M62. a beautiful, scenic stretch of road that is majestically suspended across the valley of Junction 25. breathtaking stuff.
