Delivered from Amazon Spain. Bose Soundlink Mini 2. After postage added it works out at around £126. A great saving from the £170 retail price in the UK.

€166.13. You get the option to pay in Euro or Sterling. I did a currency converter and at the moment £166.13 is £122. So you could take a chance and get another £4 off but it all depends and what rates and charges your bank would add for paying in a different currency.

Just debating this or another Sonos play 1. Just bought a play 1 and they are awesome but this is now 40 quid cheaper hmmm

Agreed Play 1 is superb. However for easy of use (1 touch - for on AND 6 preselects) the Bose Soundtouch 10 is much better for MY needs. Just bought one for a smililar price.

Agreed Soundtouch 1 is a great speaker and is more the competition for the Play:1 (good deal on Amazon.de for this at the moment).
This is a fantastic portable Bluetooth Speaker and a great price - hear added

This thing is awesome. It's got huge sound for such a small player and if you use it close to a wall the bass is massive. Plus it's easier to pair with your device than other Bluetooth speakers. It's been my best Tech buy in years.

I have one of these and bought via the same route before the summer. I can definitely recommend it. - great piece of kit for a fantastic price. Go for it, and heat added!!

Hot. Bought this for 170 and I'm pretty happy with it. Anyone know how to connect it to a laptop with a cable lol? Didnt come with one in the box and can't get bluetooth working on laptop.
There's better speakers out there in this range, UE BOOM 2 for example, overrated because it's Bose

Agreed, they've always been considered so highly but when compared to actual enthusiast stuff it's dreadful.
I personally think the sound this box thing delivers is not pleasant.

Ok but the UE BOOM 2 is £33 dearer than this on amazon. I tested the most popular premium speakers at Dixon travel at the airport, I kept going back to this Bose, i bought my Bose speaker for £105 from amazon Italy, for that price it's a very good value for money, wouldn't you say?

Pity it doesn't have an LDAC equivalent, the new standard of high rate transfer over Bluetooth. NFC would have also been nice but I have been wanting to pick this up. I hope it's good with bass because most music is bass orientated these days. Also What does the plug look like? because I know in the US just get a cool looking credit card style folding one.

I have the first version of this, bought a few months ago and it delivers amazing performance for the size and weight. It lives in my bathroom so I can use it while having a shower; but I take it out to friends' homes for parties as well as work, and it's brilliant at the beach/outdoors too. Best used indoors, on a hard surface, placed two inches from a wall.

just bear in mind that the European equivalent to the new consumer rights act affords you less protection. if your ordering from a foreign website your governed by their laws not ours. is it really worth the hassle for sake of a few extra £££. at least if purchase in uk you've got piece of mind
DubDriver to pnaylor39
19 Oct 15#45
Probably is worth the hassle, if any, if you're buying from Amazon Spain, as their terms are the same Amazon UK. i.e. after 30 days they pass the buck to claiming from the manufacturer.

I found the sound of the Bose to be a bit "wooly". I went for a Sony Srs-x33 (currently £94.99 Amazon UK), which I much prefered and it has good bass for it's size. You can listen to many of the speakers for yourself in stores like Currys, PC World and HMV.

Just put a jack cable in the headphone socket of the laptop and the AUX input (above the power point) and press AUX on the top of the unit.

I tried every speaker in Currys, John Lewis etc and loved the Bose but couldn't bring myself to pay £170 for a speaker that i wanted to play on the balcony on holiday.. I opted for the JBL Flip 2 for £39.99.. I was really impressed with the quality of the JBL for the money, for holiday it was perfect..But i could not put the quality of the Bose out of my mind.. Then I saw this deal and had to jump on it.. Paid for it in Euros on a non commission credit card worked out at £121 bargain, that's my christmas present to me sorted...

I agree completely. BOSE used to be a solid brand, but a lot of their newer products they have really cheaped out on. I think this portable speaker is more in the sub-£100 actual value range.

I can't find the option to pay in sterling, nor do I seem to be able to use the £50 credit in my UK Amazon account. I'm also getting 6.26 euros added for postage, making the total 166.12 euros. Still a good deal though.

That is the correct cheapest postage option.
You can't use Amazon UK credit on their other sites, or promo codes.
Don't know about voucher codes.

I agree that Bose equipment is over rated however the Mini is an exception. The sound from this speaker really is exceptional. Just go and listen to one rather than just assume it's rubbish because it's Bose. Oh and the Bose audio system in my Audi is also very good. Easily as good as the Meridian system in the Jag I had.
