So I don't think you have to worrie about build quality and updates. I'm pretty sure it will get the MM update later. But because MiUI os a heavily costumised android skin, they will need time.

Lollipop is installed and marshmallow is on the way. You can't and tell what version it is though, as it is heavily customised.

You get what ever updated version of their android OS is (look up MIUI for more information) Chances is you will get at least Android 5 possibly update to version 6

agree with mirko - missing LTE band 20 is a blow - especially if you're on Vodafone. Most of Voda 4G network is on band 20, although they are rolling out other bands in London.
Band 20 is very useful as it is able to cover big distances and penetrate walls.

be aware in some areas where Three is using band 20 (800 mhz) for LTE you will get only H+. I have this problem indoor in London very often

struggling to see how this is significantly better than the voda SU6.. this has 1gb more ram, dual sim and somewhat better processor; while SU6 has nfc and microsd which this doesn't.. but pretty similar those (fairly non-major IMO) differences aside?

gearbest again ! I tried to buy a redmi 2 phone they took the money then asked me for proof of identity via a scan of my driving licence or my passport I cancelled and got a refund very strange request would NEVER use again

I tried the $15 one and it said it needed to be over £180. Phone was £179 something, so i added on a screen protector then that code worked and deducted £9 something.

Think you've mistaken this for the Redmi.... Mi4c is either 1,299 or 1,499 CNY depending on the variant. This 32/3gb model is the upper so around £155.
Sure there's a markup but nothing like you've made out.

If you are buying from ibuygou, for new registrations they give you some voucher codes. $5,$10,$15,$20 depending on how much you spend. So it's worth registering first and check the coupon section on my account.

This is near £200 with lots of risks in terms of warranty, build quality, updates, etc. Fair enough, on paper it has good specs, but it seems a lot of risk for a small reward when compared with say a Moto X Play for £230ish.

For the people concerned with buying Chinese phone from a Chinese store, I have the mi4i, and the build quality is fantastic. 4g is supported on both sins and works with my carrier(EE), flawlessly. Download speed yesterday morning was 96meg. If they have stock in their eu warehouse, there's no import duty and delivery is super quick. I ordered on a Tuesday and my phone was on the doorstep on Thursday. Google services are preinstalled and bloat ware can be uninsulated. Also, for the mi4i, Android m is in the pipeline, so the mi4c is a safe bet.

I would take the gamble except on warranty and OS updates - too much hassle sending back to seller - rather take a risk on a Doogee which is 1/5 of the prices rather than Xiaomi at 10% Samsung /Apple......

Ordered from ibuygou just after midnight so for them it was about 7 am. I requested them to check there are no faults ie screen bleeding, dead pixels and speaker issues. They said they will and it has been dispatched. They threw in a screen protector.
Its coming with dhl and paid duty insurance which is 5% of total so if I get charged, they will refund it. Paid £196 in total
Does anyone know if google play is pre-installed? I'm a bit of a noob at installing ROMs.

Don't forget you can always contact the seller to declare lower price on the invoice. Usually it is no problem for them to declare about $80 and you don't have to pay more than £20 in total (vat, duty, handling whatever)

Normally only one sim slot is 4g, the other is 2 or 3g only. Oddly there's nothing in the spec to say?
Also just read there's no SD card slot. That could be a deal breaker for some?

seems a decent phone for the money, the "poor speaker" noted in the review might worry some but unless you've road tested it you won't know how true that statement is. No expandable memory might start an argument on here like it always does but 32 GB should be fine. Heat added. :wink:

any idea if both sim card slots are 4G? for example my honor 7 is only 4G and sec slot 2G which is Doggee :wink: because three for example and freedom pop dont use 2G anymore and have to switch between them two. Thanks!
