I agree entirely with comment 6 which puts comment 7 into doubt. I have a 14" Asus laptop which is really nice but when I had problems Asus just were not interested. Won't buy any of their products again.

I recently bought this laptop and it's the quitest laptop I've ever owned, can't fault it at all. it's also a lot cooler too as the fans point out the back towards the bottom of the screen.

If you ever have a problem with somebody you have purchased electrical goods from I find the easiest thing is to contact the manufacturer themselves or alternatively tell them you'll contact trading standards. They generally give you what you want to not have to deal with trading standards.

I was tempted but reading the Amazon reviews have put me off. The noise isn't just a fan but static/buzzing sound.

People have reported this to be a noisy laptop other than that, it looks good for the money.
