Excellent price (£70+ everywhere else) and has very good reviews for anyone wanting a budget monitor

Boasting a slim design, this TFT monitor is packed with LED technology which provides bright and vivid images. The high contrast brings colours to life and keeps black in the dark.
The speedy 5 ms response time makes this monitor excellent for fast-paced action, such as the latest action film, sports or gaming.
Enjoy moneysaving thanks to the AOC e2070Swn's backlit display, ensuring that less power is consumed with a 19-watt maximum usage.
For a practical, all-round monitor with VGA connection, look no further than the AOC e2070Swn 19.5" LED Monitor.

VGA is a bummer, DVI would have been a hit with this, but not complaining, this is a good price for a monitor of its size.

VGA is an ancient standard. DVI is still very much usable, since it is a digital signal converters are quids to be had, so I wouldn't dismiss DVI

I love it how the description for some monitors are either "fast 5ms" or "quick 5ms" or in this case "speedy 5ms" :innocent:

Cold. Old tech poor resolution and VGA only just pay a bit extra and get a decent 1080p Hdmi monitor

There are still lots of older machines around with VGA out, and with a decent lead, the picture quality is just fine.
And lots of ppl don't want a larger screen dominating a small room.
The price is great, and for the right person, it's a solid deal. Voted Hot ...

If you're going to buy a 19" monitor with 1600x900 resolution, then this is a much, MUCH better option:
I've bought from this company before and grade A means superb condition.
The Dell has DVI and a high quality adjustable stand and it's cheaper than the rubbish VGA only AOC.

Nope, HDMI, on top of digital picture is able to send sound signal as well, dvi will need additional jack

Most monitors don't have speakers anyway and when they do they are usually rubbish. Picture quality between DVI and HDMI is more or less the same.

Yes but a lot of monitors with hdmi have 3.5 mm connections so you can easily plug in speakers. Picture quality between the two on a pc monitor is identical

bear in mind there are no menu buttons on this, if you want to adjust brightness etc you have to do it through software, think its called i-menu

Looks good for the money. Don't suppose it has vesa mount configuration by chance? I know most don't .. I see no mention of it googling, so presume it doesn't. Nothing some 'no more nails' can't sort I suppose :stuck_out_tongue:

I am aware of that but i am pretty sure DVI and HDMI come under the same specification as its the same video signal technology, also DVI technically capable of high bandwidth and DVI can output audio, you just need a DVI to HDMI cable i believe the GTX 460 was the first card to support this.

Yes you can mount it, the Dell stand comes off and under the square bit are mounting points.

Cold as it's not full HD. No reason for that when even every other phone is full HD now. I would spend £15 more and get full HD monitor elsewhere.

Just looked. It is not HDMI and is priced at £69. Shame as it looked a good spec. Maybe it has changed spec in the last few weeks.
