Lots of cheap chocolate perfect for the run up to Christmas.
Was £80 now only £28.90 with code CHKL plus you can get another 12% cashback through Quidco worth £3.47.
Delivery is free if you add something else to the basket worth £1 or more, I added one of these: https://www.thorntons.co.uk/product/Gift-Ideas/Gifts-for-Kids/Vanilla-Flavour-Spooky-Fondant-Mouse/pc/2222/c/2228/102.uts
It says they're dated November but I've had these in the past and it's usually only one or two items that are short dated.
Code works for other items and gives you 15% off.

I like Thornton's, well the continental anyway. And I don't mind telling you I do not like Hotel chocs.
Any short date is probably due to a couple of the chocs containing fresh cream, the cappuccino ones for example.

I am talking about my own order from 2012. What is says on the website NOW is not relevant to my post. Sadly I won't buy Thornton again.

Says a lot about Thorntons, too, that something described as a 'Chocolate Essentials Hamper' contains about a third by weight of toffee and fudge! What a con - and so typical of the way Thorntons operates now.
Faked Tesco-style high pricing, reduced to normal price on a regular basis to create fake 'bargains', and deceitful, misleading descriptions like this one. What a shame for what was once one of Britain's best chocolate makers - but that was a very long time ago!

Unfortunately, if you buy Thorntons for anyone as a gift these days it says just one thing - cheapskate. Not really what you want when buying a gift!

Diplomat has always (ever since I 1st went into a Thorntons about 30yrs ago) been one of the continental varieties. Looks like you opted for a full box of Diplomats.

Please be aware with Thornton. A couple of years ago they were doing 5 boxes of chocs for £20 or something. I ordered for Christmas Gifts. I ordered in the October. The date on every box was 31-12-that same year. I had to give them anyway but I have never bought from them again. They are selling short dated rubbish without actually telling you so on the website.

Cold. First ingredient in the Premium Collection is Sugar, rather than Cocoa, also contains cheap Palm Oil. They have really gone downmarket recently. :disappointed:

You can buy the Thorntons toffee in Poundland for a lot cheaper than the Thorntons shops charge.

Only very roughly added the weights in my head - this looks like £1 per 100g. If i was spending £28 id expect a much better price that that. Cold from me.

You cannot take any RRP prices from
Thorntons seriously. The prices are
always in the stratosphere.

Yes I tend to agree. Used to be a luxury brand but can't hold a candle now to Hotel Chocolat for example

Very few people/companies have a top brand image these days....
Trust and honesty are in short supply in this world... while greed and corruption appear to florish
