Indeed it is not! The only thing I'm unsure about is being on a cruise - I've never been on one, but I love South Florida - that's what attracted me to this deal.

cheapest flights alone nearly cost that let alone a 7 night caribbean cruise with all food & entertainment that goes with it & lovely ports of call Plus 3 nights Miami hotel accommodation so even if it isn't the greatest cruise line it is still a great bargain imo. You just have to go with the right mind set & not expect luxury or even 4 or 5 star treatment

Seems a great price to me! Miami is fab. Never been on a cruise before.

This may be a silly question, but I've never cruised before. is food included whilst on the ship?
Cruising is a great holiday, waking up somewhere different each day but read reviews of MSC first as they are one of the lowest rated cruise lines.

dont expect 3 star treatment or 3 star food..
food is included..
you need to pay tips on top of these. they are mandatory.
went on this ship in june. awful. paid 399 each with flights and got my 6 month old free. still at that price was awful, read the reviews at cruisecritic and believe the bad stories.

Odd, that. We went on it 18 months ago, and whilst the food was a decidedly average 7/10, I would say it was far from awful. The ship itself is beautiful.

anyone have expreience on these cruise with kids - 3 y/o and a 10 month baby - would it be suitable?
Actually, I think the 9 hour-ish flight would me more of an issue with very young children.

Any idea how much extra it would be to take a 5-yr old? Free on the cruise but what about flights?

This ship is absolutely stunning, the food is not awful but maybe not as good as Royal Caribbean, the service is very good. Tips are mandatory on almost every cruise line! The costof drinks is the same as all the other cruise lines. The only thing that spolit my cruise on this ship was the very rude and arrogant clientele which were mostly italian. At this price its a fabuolus deal, and Miami is a great place to visit, especially as the port is only minutes away from the city centre.

With things like this, one man's meat is another man's poison. For me, it's poison. I did a similar cruise many years back from Miami around the Caribbean for 5 or 6 days with Carnival cruise lines. Hated virtually every minute of it. Packed in like sardines to start. 2500 passengers and a 1000 crew. Unless you are wealthy the cabin is likely to be smaller than a prison cell.
You cant take booze onboard (except one bottle of wine per person). So captive audience in the bars, so guess what prices are like.... ;-) Also, you are issued with a Ship's 'credit card' to pay for everything, so it's difficult to keep track of spending. I did, and had an erroneous item placed on my bill which was hassle to get removed. If one were cynical, you might say this was deliberate.
Full of very loud American's, entertainment on deck consisted of things like 'Men's hairy chest competition'. Also, drinking age reduced from normal 21 years to 18. So lots of American teenagers on the sauce.
Call me snooty by all means. If you don't mind all that then you will enjoy.
Oh one positive if you like food: You will not go hungry. If I recall correctly, early risers breakfast, main breakfast, mid morning snacks, lunch, tea, dinner and midnight feast.

Tips are not mandatory on almost every cruise line. They get added on automatically with most cruise lines, but can be removed if you ask at the desk. The only cruise line that make them mandatory is Costa.

Yes, but they nearly all state that the tips are mandatory, infact there is never any mention of being able to remove tips in their booking processes, but I too have requested tips be removed a couple of times and they then adhere to your request.
