They are doing Hobgoblin Pumpkin 2 for £2 in Morrisons (not for my taste, or any pumpkin beers)
They are in my local (Welwyn garden city)

Wychwood don't seem to differentiate between them on their website, only noting the difference in alcohol content. I suspect in a blind tasting, you wouldn't know the difference. I'll have to try a bottle and a can back to back and see. Asda stock is variable. I was in two less than 5 miles apart. One had cans, the other didn't.

Is the Hobgoblin in the cans only 4.6%? Does it taste the same or did they change the recipe to get the alcohol content down? In the past I have found that when breweries reduce the alcohol content in the beer the taste usually suffers. Mind you I haven't found any in my local Asda anyway.

Thankfully it's just the regular stuff. The pumpkin ale has been officially classified as "Totally Gopping" by the EU.

I know it's not the same deal. £1.75/l at Asda for 4.6%, £2.33/l at Morrisons for 5.2%. If you want to spend 33% more for 11% more alcohol, that's fine. The reference to Halloween is misleading. It's standard Hobgoblin.

Is the halloween version different to the original or is it just different packaging?
