bargain indeed if you can get your hands on some, double that price at eurocarparts and they are usually one of the cheapest.

Mmmm . Has nobody noticed that the crude oil price has halved yet we are still getting asked for the same price or more for engine oil ?
Good price will have a look in my local for some.

Hate this oil. Why sell it in a 4litre bottle. Everyone else sells 5 litres which is enough for most normal cars.

the better oils tend to come in 4l and the cheaper ones 5l.
Most Mobil, Shell, Petronas oils are 4L.

30 Sep 151#22
I only find Castrol the awkward one in 4L, always stick to other stuff that does actually come in a useful amount.
Kind of defeats the saving when the Castrol 1L is usually well over £10 which brings it in line with other premium oil

30 Sep 15#23
No they're not. Oil is oil, as long as it meets the minimum spec required for your engine it will do the job just as well as any other. A few of the bigger manufacturers sell it in 4 litre bottles but most are still 5 litre. The fact that people think it's a premium product means they can charge more, and in addition you'll need to buy two bottles so it's win win.

Don't get into this argument, you'll find that cars that take 5w30 will more often take 5w40, check your hand book.

For those saying 4 litres is not enough and you would end up having to buy 8 litres, if it's anything like my BMW and a lot of modern engines, especially VWs, they burn through oil for fun, so at least you will have a few litres for top ups!

Type in your reg here, although even if it says compatible I would be very cautious about adding this unless you know the car hasn't been abused and has a good engine service history.
And just as a warning: adding fully synth to an old/worn engine can expose problems very quickly.

Everyone moaning about it being 4 litres, LOADS of cars take 4 litres & under, all my FIRE engined Fiats (of the last 30 years) take 3.5 litres for example. My Jags take 7.2 litres, my Boxster takes 8.4 litres. Do you expect the companies to sell oil in 0.1 litre increments to cover everyone?
