Morocco is actually a nice place,
Been there several times and it is very safe contrary to what some people think... I personally felt safer there than some places in like Birmingham or even London!

If you go to Marrakesh remember, this and this only, NO ONE is your friend - that friendly guy at concierge? hes also just lining his mates pockets. Everything is just a network of scamming.
Be under no illusions, EVERYONE is out to rip you off. Be aware of this and you can enjoy yourself!

When I was in Marrakech we met an old gay French couple who were staying at the same hotel (Sofitel). I'm sure it's ok, it's not like Saudi, I wouldn't make it obvious though

You'll need this along with some super strong mosquito repellant but bargain on sale right now! Makes the holiday a bit more expensive though obviously.
