this place is nasty - stayed there a few months back..... the only thing nice is the SPA - rooms are grotty and very very dated

I stayed recently in the Best Western Lansdown Hotel in Eastbourne and it was lovely. A traditional seaside hotel. Excellent service and food. Room was very comfortable. Paid extra for a sea view.
Also the BW York House hotel is very good and a good value deal can be had on Amazon offers.
Eastbourne is a lovely place if you like it quiet.
