lidl did this in the republic of Ireland via newspaper coupons, Tesco responded by accepting the coupons. everyone was happy!!

The offers change weekly although I think they're usually for 20% off, just sometimes £5 off 25 or £7 off 35. The card's validity is till sometime end of this month.

correct @ellie27. theres usually loads of cards instore but as ellie said,staff will swipe a card thats kept at the tills.

I guess if you have your Smart Shopping card? Or if you dont have one of the cards, the assistants will usually just swipe a card they have at the till as thats what they have been doing for the last month or so since the cards began.
