This post combines Sainsburys Brand Match scheme with cashback so I'm sure some people will have already voted cold despite how easy this is. LOL
Schwartz spices are £1.65 in Sainsbury and there are 2 cashback apps (Clicksnap and Checkoutsmart) that are each offering 75p cashback on selected Schwartz spices up to a maximum of 10 jars and only if you buy in Sainsburys.
But Sainsburys will price match Asda who have these spices on special offer of 2 for £2. That means you can effectively pay £1 per jar with 75p cashback (please read "Important Points" to ensure your basket will generate a voucher)
If you buy 10 different jars your shopping will come to £16.50 and when you have paid you will automatically get a £6.50 voucher to use on your next shop. That means your 10 spices have effectively cost you just £10
Then upload your receipt to either Clicksnap or Checkoutsmart and they will give you £7.50 plus an extra penny if you enter their prize draw. This brings your price down to £2.49
IMPORTANT POINTS:
You cannot upload the same receipt to both Clicksnap and Checkoutsmart, but there is nothing to stop you buying another 10 spices and uploading your 2nd receipt to the 2nd app. You can even use your £6.50 voucher immediately on that 2nd shop
Note: you will only get a voucher if you have 10 DIFFERENT items in your shopping so you don't need to do anything other than buy 10 different jars. if you buy fewer than 10 jars or you buy multiples of some of the flavours you will need to buy additional items to ensure you get a voucher. (safe choices are single bananas, onions, grapes, mushrooms, because these will not reduce the value of your voucher)
Brand Match coupons will not be issued, at Petrol stations, Sainsbury's Local, convenience stores or any of the following:
Holborn (London)
Tottenham Court Road (London)
Warren Street (London)
Mayfair (London)
St Andrews Square (Edinburgh)
Martineau Place (Birmingham)
Nuthall Road (Nottingham)

Right, so the 10 I've already claimed for are 'spent'? , and I can't claim them again? From msm? Yes, I subscribe to your thread and saw post about the calzone. Tbh, I just haven't had chance, but did mean to say that because I claimed some of the free pizza vouchers, I also had emails in my Junk folders for £1 off the calzone, so that could be worth a check.

I think the problem with mySupermarket App offers is that although they may say things like "buy 1 to 31/12" the offer may well vanish from your App well before 31/12.
That said I did a claim for 10 x 50p on it (ie being paid to take the 10 Schwartz away) BUT I got an email saying the photos hadn't transferred and to please email in the receipt again. Which I did and they say they're paying it
Meanwhile today ONLY Dr Oetker Calzone on mySupermarket for Sainsburys for me :disappointed:
All I need now is a 40 jar spice rack for Xmas

Sorry, I know it's me being thick, but that's really confusing me.. Can claim multiple times, but only 1 of each in one shop.. Does that mean 'shop' as in store? Sainsburys, asda etc? Or is it 'shop' as in- the occasion? Ha, it's late.. So, can I only claim once from Sainsburys? As Sainsburys counts as I've claimed once from that store? Or can I shop at Sainsburys on another day, ie, another 'shop', and claim again?

I got 20 more jars today  Thanks to MkD, finally managed to claim cashback on msm. not the easiest, but the step by step guide really helped. Am I right in thinking that I can only claim once on msm? I had thought I could claim multiple times actually, submitted one receipt (with 10 jars on), and thought I could claim again? Not bothered, as got all of them for a total of free, but people were mentioning getting them for profit? or have i got it wrong?

You're right - today the CheckoutSmart 10x 75p offer is now also showing valid from 24 Oct to 6 Nov, so if you didn't get around to it last week, there's still a week left to exploit this 85% off offer, once each with CoS & QCS. Certainly means we need a larger spice rack now
The only potential downside is that the ASDA website does not reveal how long their 2 for £2 deal (which gives rise to the up to £6.50 Brand Match when buying 10 items at JS) is running until - the site just says "Valid from 21/10/2015". I think ASDA offers get revised on Wednesdays ?
re mumofthree1982 comments above: Remember as OP originally alerted the T&C's of CoS and QCS do not permit the same receipt to be used for a claim on both systems (for any offer at all, not just duplicated claims), so managing to get a double reward in that manner has been because their systems failed, rather than being entitled to double rewards.

Found an explanation why some people MAY not have had Brand Match vouchers automatically issued.
Called in today - which I thought was last day of the offer - to pick up another 10 spices/herbs for my folks, and did the same routine of a self-service till scan (to be sure 10 separate/unique items got recorded) - only to find receipt printed but no Brand Match £6.50 voucher spat out.
Called the self-service till guy over - he opened up the voucher printer - which HAD been showing just its OK green light, to reveal jammed feed mechanism with heaven knows how many peoples vouchers all printed onto a 1" conglomerate strip of ink galore! He apologised for the hassle as 'how was he to know the printer wasn't okay as it was showing green/OK light". So had to go to customer services to have the items processed - and a £6.50 voucher awarded as anticipated. NB: vouchers are only valid for 14 days so be sure to shop again in time.
Not sure how one would avoid this problem in future other than watching ahead and only going to a self-service till where you saw the voucher printer was alive and well and you are sure you are going to be entitled to a voucher! Probably best to go to a manned till and monitor their scanning...
PLUS news on the 10 x 75p offer - while CheckoutSmart offer is still expiring close today; my Quidco ClickSnap has I believed changed to be from "Valid 24 Oct – 06 Nov, 2015" ie extended by one week to next Friday so you may have another week to blag 85% off!
PS: Third and final purchase of 10 : this time had the voucher printer 'out of paper' red light - but it didn't print the Brand Match voucher when refilled - so had to go to customer service and get them returned/resold+voucher again!.

The Slow Cooker Schwartz spices are now just 50p in Sainsburys
You can claim 50p back from checkoutsmart or 80p from Clicksnap
Buy on 2 separate receipts and claim back 81p from Clicksnap for the 1st receipt and 51p from checkoutsmart for the 2nd (the extra 1p is if you enter the prize draws)
So that's 2 packs of slow cooker spice sachets for a profit of 32p
Do not buy on the same receipt as the 10 jars of spices because they are more expensive in Asda and will reduce the value of your brand match voucher.

aau1 - thanks for this.........a great offer and very well documented. All I had to do was go armed with your list and follow the instructions. £6.50 brand match if you buy jars only and obviously less if you are buying any refill boxes.
Well stocked with spice & looking forward to the cashback.

28 Oct 15#67
Thanks OP! Really great way to top up spice rack at 25p/jar!
Delighted to report that worked exactly as anticipated today - ie a basket of just 10 x different £1.65 jars from the list = £16.50 to pay; then £6.50 Brand Match voucher issued ie net cost down to the £10 it would be in ASDA.
Then submitted receipt on Quidco ClickSnap (as that allows for uploaded scans rather than just App photos and better bonuses on Quidco balances rather than just £20+ withdrawal on CoS) for 10 x 75p (and prize draw 1p reward), but need to await the validation of that to get down the £2.49 net cost <3
Remember the CheckoutSmart & QCS 75p £back offers - at Sainsburys only, hence why buying in ASDA isn't on, and you need to rely on the JS Brand Match of ASDA - both run out on Friday 30/10 - ie you must buy at Sainsburys by then, and submit your receipt within 6-7 days of that.
PS: Just checked Quidco at 7:30pm and confirmed as £7.51 ClickSnap credit for receipt uploaded lunchtime = RESULT <3
Might have to get other family members spice shopping in JS by Friday!

Just realised that the list printed above is different to the Clicksnap one - above are items listed in the Asda price match. I bought the Ground Cloves, which are listed on Clicksnap, but they are not included in the Asda deal (only the whole Cloves). Has anyone tried buying 10 same items? Will it not count for price match because it is less than 10 items in the bill or will it work if we are buying with other items?
aau1 to tushar261
24 Oct 151#46
You can buy 10 of the same but you would have to buy 9 other items to generate a voucher.
If those 9 items are Sainsburys own products then it won't affect your £6.50 voucher, if they are brands then you have to consider whether they are cheaper/more expensive in Asda compared to Sainsburys because they will either increase/reduce or have no effect on your voucher
Sophiasky
24 Oct 15#44
Just been to Sainsburys to do this. Bought 10 different ones but it only gave me a price match voucher for £5.10. Queried with a member of staff and said I was expecting £6.50 back but she said that perhaps it was because Asda did not sell all of the spices/herbs that I had bought from the list. Still happy with £5.10 back and have now uploaded my receipt to Clicksnap so will wait to see if they give me the £7.50 back as well.

Neat HUKD idea/description.
An idea re some people not getting the Brand Match Voucher automatically MIGHT be that for some reason ASDA don't stock/advertise every single variety of the 10 varieties (from the c50 listed for the £back offer) that people had in their basket
No double scan as I went to self service. I checked paper light was not on. I've also had vouchers for money back before. Never mind 10 jars for 2.49 is a bargain so thanks again
aau1
24 Oct 15#31
Weird. Maybe the staff member didn't scan them all separately eg they scanned hot chilli twice rather than ring up hot/mild separately. That happens sometimes and means you fall below the required 10
Other reason could be the machine was out of paper or you were in a store that isn't participating (I updated my post with various exclusions)

They give you the brand match voucher to use on your next shop when they give you your receipt. (don't shop in a Sainsburys Local though because they don't give out vouchers)
It is valid to use immediately so if you are going to Sainsburys you could buy your spices first and then put the voucher towards the rest of your shopping. That way you don't have to worry about it expiring

if you want to get to £20 there are other things you can get that combine well with cashback offers
The Schwartz recipe sauces for example are 2 for £1 in Asda but if you buy in Sainsbury you can claim £1 cashback for every 3 So if you buy 6, you get them for Asda's price of £3 and then you claim back £2 from the cashback apps meaning you got 6 for £1

Heat for the Long explanation but il probably able get these cheaper from the local Asian Shop as do use most of these spices in bulk quantity compared to the tiny sizes on offer
Opening post

That said I did a claim for 10 x 50p on it (ie being paid to take the 10 Schwartz away) BUT I got an email saying the photos hadn't transferred and to please email in the receipt again. Which I did and they say they're paying it
Meanwhile today ONLY Dr Oetker Calzone on mySupermarket for Sainsburys for me :disappointed:
All I need now is a 40 jar spice rack for Xmas
For those having difficulties with working out how to claim the 50p x 10 (potentially) via the mySupermarket App - I myself got hopelessly stuck earlier today and HUKD was down at the time! - see my notes here...

Got £6.06 worth for the brand match voucher valid for 12 days from today, and claimed a further £7.50 via Quidco Clicksnap.
Easy
U can make multiple purchase with same card. No effect on brand match voucher
Meaning can get voucher without nectar card and also 2 vouchers for 2 transactions on same card
Automatically tracked based on order number and receipt upload checks receipt #
Well stocked with spice & looking forward to the cashback.
+don't overlook chance for more Nectar points at Sainsburys (it refreshes its offers every Wednesday it seems)

PS: Just checked Quidco at 7:30pm and confirmed as £7.51 ClickSnap credit for receipt uploaded lunchtime = RESULT <3
Might have to get other family members spice shopping in JS by Friday!
Received £5.25 voucher as the total of Schwartz products purchased was £15.25 - I had a mixture of jars and boxes.
thanks
The brand match voucher automatically prints out with no prompting so long as you have bought 10 DIFFERENT items in a participating store
Schwartz Sage - jar
Schwartz Mild Chilli - jar
Schwartz Mixed Spice - jar
Schwartz Ground Cloves - jar (only Whole Cloves for Asda price match)
Schwartz Mint - jar (bought normal mint, never saw the Fairtrade one)
Schwartz Ground Nutmeg - jar
Schwartz Ground Cinnamon - jar
Schwartz Rosemary - jar
Schwartz Thyme - jar
Schwartz Mixed Herbs - jar
Sainsburys might not sell all the ones I listed, but any of these that they do sell should work
If those 9 items are Sainsburys own products then it won't affect your £6.50 voucher, if they are brands then you have to consider whether they are cheaper/more expensive in Asda compared to Sainsburys because they will either increase/reduce or have no effect on your voucher
Or, if you check your results here tomorrow by keying in your receipt details you can let us know how they all compared
https://www.sainsburys-live-well-for-less.co.uk/brand-match/
I've done the spices deal previously and it worked for me.
I started with all the items in Asda's offer and then I took out all the ones that don't qualify for cashback
An idea re some people not getting the Brand Match Voucher automatically MIGHT be that for some reason ASDA don't stock/advertise every single variety of the 10 varieties (from the c50 listed for the £back offer) that people had in their basket
Anyone unfamiliar with CheckoutSmart and/or Quidco's ClickSnap (and 3 other £back Apps/sites) should see my summary on here at:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/store-receipt-cashback-shopitize-topcashback-s-snap-save-quidco-s-clicksnap-checkoutsmart-2133228
Other reason could be the machine was out of paper or you were in a store that isn't participating (I updated my post with various exclusions)
Few extra nectar points ready for double points in November too!
Thanks!
When you go to upload on the app it will ask you how many items you are claiming on the receipt. Just scroll along and select "10"
if I am buying it in store, then I brand match it online on sainsbury website?
thanks
They give you the brand match voucher to use on your next shop when they give you your receipt. (don't shop in a Sainsburys Local though because they don't give out vouchers)
It is valid to use immediately so if you are going to Sainsburys you could buy your spices first and then put the voucher towards the rest of your shopping. That way you don't have to worry about it expiring
walk out
walk back in
use the voucher to get another 10
thanks
The Schwartz recipe sauces for example are 2 for £1 in Asda but if you buy in Sainsbury you can claim £1 cashback for every 3 So if you buy 6, you get them for Asda's price of £3 and then you claim back £2 from the cashback apps meaning you got 6 for £1
Branston Beans are 50p in Asda but Shopitize will give you 40p back making them 10p a tin
This offer is repeatedly extended though. When it updates I'll amend the thread accordingly (and if it's finished I'll expire it)
