These seem to be made of the same stuff as sealskinz waterproof socks which are twice the price.

I've had these for over a year and find them better and comfier than my SealSkinz. Just wash as normal with the rest of your gear, turn inside out to dry. I've never needed to use any 'waterproof washes' as I do with my waterproof tops to clean and replenish the outerskins. Since these have no outerskins for waterproofing or beading. The pressure from you feet in the shoes may eventual penetrate through them, normally nicks from toe nails or walking in them in gravel are the causes of waterproof loss. Like I say as good as sealskinz. You can/could also buy this brand more expensively on Amazon, assuming these are still the Dexshell brand as they look the same as the ones they sold last time. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dexshell-Coolvent-Waterproof-Breathable-Socks/dp/B00AF6PXQU/ref=sr_1_6?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1443114565&sr=1-6&keywords=dexshell+socks+waterproof
Interesting. Breathable, so shouldn't make your feet sweat.

For washing, use a dwr replenisher like grangers.

You don't need a DWR like Grangers as they have a breathable / waterproof membrane
They are the same ones as on sale two years ago by the way

Ace socks very waterproof and so comfy too. They only had 1 pair left last year.. hopefully my local has some more this time. Tempted to get the jacket and tights too as decent red and black colour scheme. Got jacket last year:black white and orange. Very insulated and waterproof for winter-has to be below 5 or I get heat exhaustion-no under arm vents. lol! Top value and quality kit. No brainer if you are in the market for a set.

Got a pair of these today. Not tried them yet, seem OK. Washing instructions are hand wash at 30 deg. No mention of any special detergents or proofing agents.

Bought a pair of these last year and tbh I wouldn't recommend them. Didn't take too long for water to penetrate them and other riders I was with at the time said their feet were still dry in Sealskinz. They haven't been worn again. They're also quite thick, similar to Woolie Boolies, so if your shoes aren't very roomy then they might be quite tight.

I must be really sad, I've just tested these in the bath and ran water over them and my feet remained dry.. Will test them again in Hellrunner in a few weeks!
