Great tool I bought this for similar price they have them on offer frequently, the multi tools are really useful, I used mine today after a cheap screw head rounded off. I would recommend the fat max.

All valid points to be honest but I was just making the point that similar tools can be purchased for a lot less. Although on wattage I don't think there is a world of difference between 280W and 300W.

You can get a silverline multi cutter for £26, 3 year warranty included. Accepts Bosch blades aswel.
Top tip get the Aldi one, it's £25 and very good and powerful :smiley:

It's not really comparable other than the type of tool it is.
For a start I know you said it's a similar wattage, but there is a difference - 280w vs 300w.
Secondly this Stanley one has a greater range of oscillation.
Next, this Stanley comes with a 'Tool-free accessory change' whereas your example uses a hex key. I can assure you not having to use a key to change blades is a huge advantage.
Also the Stanley comes with an adaptor to use different brands of accessories. No mention of one in your example.
And finally the Stanley has a 3 year warranty compared to a 1 year one in your example.

Looks like a really nice tool but there are cheaper options for similar wattage tools like this one;
As previously stated Aldi and Lidl often have such tools on offer although may not be as high wattage or have many blades or accessories included. I've linked to the ebay model as it has dust extraction but many of these tools don't which is quite important for sanding.

Good price for a good tool
I would highly recommend Fatmax tools miles better then standard Stanley power tools and in my personal opinion better then Bosch diy range (green tools) and Dremel.

Are Dremel even the same type of tool? I thought they were rotary, this is oscillating.
Sorry, I see that they also do an oscillating tool. How is it better?

This type of tool is really useful. I have a Worx one (from B&Q clearance last year) and is one of the most used tools now.
Used one of the bosch multi tools for couple of years now which has been great, blades cheaper on eBay than branded ones, not to sure about Stanley as a brand nowadays would probably stick to Bosch as they are same money.
