3 months of unlimited music from Deezer for just 99p during June.

* Unlimited music on mobile, tablet, computer
* No ads, no interruption
* Music accessible offline
* High quality sound

This is for both new and existing (thanks @Oxygene) accounts so jump-in.

If you don't want to pay £9.99 after the three months then just cancel your contract as soon as you are up and running with the three months for 99p - you will still keep the three months.

Remember you can import your Spotify playlists into Deezer using Spotizr. When in Deezer on web choose 'Apps' from the left-hand menu then 'Discover our apps' and look for Spotizer

Enjoy!

Anything for people without a Chromecast please?

5 Sep 15 #279
Yep I had done. Like other have said, can confirm that any remaining subscription is overwritten with the Chromecast 3 months deal, so only apply this when your previous deal has expired (I lost a couple of days, no biggie)

Hope the chromecast deal is ongoing, have just ordered another from WuakiTV for 19.99, there was £8 TCB, so £12 for a Chromecast which I'll flog on and another 3mths of Deezer premium, sweet, will stop the family from rioting as they love Deezer, especially on their Squeezebox radios !

The chromecast offer worked for me. My subscription is now valid until 04-12-2015. Sweet!

Be very careful!

My Deezer Premium+ subscription was valid until 15-11-2015 and after adding the Chromecast 3 month offer it changed to 'Your Deezer Premium+ subscription is valid until 03-12-2015'. :disappointed:

I suggest waiting until your current subscription ends before using the Chromecast offer.

If you have a Chromecast, you can redeem another 3 months Deezer premium for nothing, just did it to mine and it extended my current 99p 3 month sub(due to expire in a few days time) until the end of November

You can always just use the website if using a Desktop computer!?

Even when at my computer I use my phone as it has unlimited 4G and Bluetooth so works properly with my August EP650 headphones. No real reason to increase the number of sources that I listen from as my phone is always with me.

It most defiantly not 'just a **** Windows 8 app' as I am quite happily use a desktop version on my Mac and there is a Windows version to download from that site.

The site detects which OS you are using when you go to that link - for example it offers me the Mac version so maybe you are visiting the site using a phone? If so try clicking on the link using your PC.

26 Jun 15 #264
That's just a **** Windows 8 app which will be a glorified mobile version. They should be providing a proper desktop application for Windows 7 like Spotify have. I see it's still 'coming soon'. For weeks the page has said 'come back in a few days'

Seems really fantastic, listening for hours per day, might have to continue the subscription after 3 months!

Wonder if I can use it with "Ok Google" like I can with Play Music? This is handy when driving.

ATM I start it playing and can't change whilst driving.

17 Jun 15 #259
hot deal, but a bit shoddy that they don't have a desktop app. They can't hope to compete with Spotify while that's the case, certainly at £9.99 a month. I see Beta is opening 'in a few days' according to their website. I'll see if I can give it a go

Seems great on my phone.

Voted hot, thank you.

With services like this and the rise of Netflix / Amazon I might have to retire my home server as I don't really need big storage or Crashplan backup anymore (Amazon prime unlimited photo backup, Onedrive or Google for docs backup, media all streamed from the cloud).

The Squeezebox app doesn't seem up to much in that you don't have the Flow or recommendations.

You can create your own playlists though.
The "generational" thing I think is that "managing a music" collection will soon become as outmoded as buying physical media. It has amused me for some time that angry saps rage against digital downloads for games, and all over themselves for blueray movies.
This is just now being talked about in mainstream media. I just went to look, but couldn't find the magazine this month talking about how all the new PCs at Computex I think it was have no physical media drives.
Vinyl gave way to CD, gave way to DRM downloads to MP3 and now to streaming.
MP3 tagging tracks and adding lyrics, zzzzzzz.
I can create my own playlists on Xbox Music or Spotify. I pay for Xbox and use free Spotify.
(If Spotify gets an Xbox app [porbably will when Xbox gets Windows 10] then I will change my sub to Spotify])

But trying to manage 30 to 40G of ripped or collected music just seems like a ton of effort when for 10 quid per month (about 3 Starbucks coffees) I can just stream almost any music I like.
Yes, a generational thing, the youth of the day can barely read email, you think they will "manage" music? LOLz No
dawsonz
12 Jun 15 #250
Just changed mine to 320Kbps, cheers.
hwangeruk
12 Jun 15 #249
But on mobile data, particularly listening in sub optimal listening places (car, gym) then 320kbps isn't worth the extra download. But you are right in a sense that if you want it, you need to seek it out.
dragon2611
12 Jun 15 #248
Yep but if you want 320Kbps you do actually need to remember to go into the settings and set high quality, I wonder how many people forget to do that!
usenetz
12 Jun 15 #247
Like Spotify, Deezer still offers an ad-supported free tier at 128kbps. This offers unlimited listening on web or tablet, but restricts mobile use to the Flow feature and Mixes only. There’s no offline listening, so you’ll want to go steady if you have a data allowance.

For £9.99 per month, (that is this deal), users can get access to the ad-free Premium+, with 320kbps playback and offline listening, or for £14.99, Sonos users only can sign up to Deezer Elite for everything Premium+ offers, plus 16-bit/44.1kHz FLAC playback through their Sonos kit.

I think if you have it set to high quality it's around 320Kbps but I might be wrong.

Always good to pick up a deal like this, 99p just the price I want to pay.

Now I just have to work out where the next deal for streaming music comes from in August, maybe jump on to Apple Music for what is reported as a free 3 month trial.

Thanks op.

Jimbo123
11 Jun 15 #242
I think there is a generational aspect to the streaming music companies. Because the feeling of personal offence and effrontery when some lame awful song is foisted upon me is almost too much to bear. Take the example the old classic song "Fever", there it pops up and I feel a sense of vomit inducing nausea and boredom.

I know some might say radio was the same, but that doesn't bother me so much. It almost seems like these streaming services are the people with no passion for their own music, as if it is some vague background thing to hear the latest tunes. It just seems horribly clinical and inpersonal compared to doing one's own lovingly created playlist

10 Jun 15 #232
Music is about enjoying the moment; I find streaming services great for when you want to play a song with a click of a button and not have to worry about buying/finding music. It isn't about buying into an 'asset' of owning a library, you'd be left with lots of memories and hours of enjoyment, not 'nothing' in my opinion

10 Jun 15 #231
Haven't tried Deezer - but Google Music>Spotify too.

The mixes are so much better.

Spotify is really lacking in that regard. I have Spotify Premium free for a year and don't use as it just goes off on dodgy tangents. Google Music is on my girlfriends phone and is so much better. Spotify just doesn't get a look in.

I'll try Deezer now - and compare it but it's going to be tough to beat Google Music in my opinion!!

Obviously this is a good deal but I gotta say I would never pay a subscription to any music streaming service. I do pay for Netflix but movie streaming is just totally different to me. Music is so much more personal.

I had a free Spotify account and then found certain bands and albums were removed and that just put me off for good. Also, you never own any of the music and in year's to come after investing many pounds worth it's quite possible a service could end and you're left with nothing.

I've had a closer look at the settings and sadly cannot see any explicit lyrics filter.

Unfortunately, (for you in this particular case), when a subscription is cancelled it is the renewal which is cancelled not the current sub which runs its course.

New accounts are always offered a free 1 month trial so to get this 3 months for 99p you need to ignore that offer and instead, once the new account is registered and you are logged-in, follow the 'Get Deal' link on this page.

Nice, Will cancel Xbox Music since their offline support seems to be a bit hit and miss on mobile (lots of things won't download)

7 Jun 15 #181
This offer gives you Deezer Premium which allows you download the music to listen even when there's no connection. After the three months you can pay £9.99/month to continue on premium or move to a free service which does not allow offline mode however you will still be able to stream the music to listen and all your playlists will remain active and you can still add to and edit them.

7 Jun 15 #179
Worked good on my old account from a previous 3 month 99p deal but just tried a new account for my daughter and it straight away gave her premium until the 21/06/15 for no charge. It did say do you want a free month for free and when accepted and used PayPal it made the free trial end the 7/7/15. Paid no money (Also cancelled) but i think they have stopped new signs now and are concentrating on getting back old accounts. New accounts are getting 2 week trials that can be upped to 1 month using PayPal pre payments.

Oh no! I also got the free year and use it with my Sonos without problem and love the quality of the music playback. As with anything to do with downloading data via the Internet there are so many potential bottlenecks including your own home network setup but all I can say is I love my Sonos and I love Deezer. As for your 'cancelled' account do check because cancelled accounts generally only stop functioning as Premium at the end of the subscribed period, so in your case 12 months. (_;)

I use both Spotify and Deezer and have to say my favourite (although not by much) is Spotify but at 99p for three months this is a no-brainer. :sunglasses:

Completely agree. I signed up to a free trial and canceled after a week because it was unreliably pants. I still got charged a tenner by EE for the privilege even though it was a 'free trial'.

I had the free year that came with my new sonos and cancelled it after a month as it was utterly useless. I'm not sure if I just got unlucky but songs would often play for just a few seconds then it would skip to the next song.

A. Not everyone has a Chromecast.
B. What happens if your free trials have run out? ie, you don't qualify for the Google Play deal.
C. As said by many people on this thread, the deal does NOT apply ONLY to new members.

Thus... For many people who CANNOT get Google Play for free for 3 months... of which there is many... This is a great deal. Better, in fact, for those who do not qualify for the Google Play deal.

As my last Chromecast trial has recently expired, and this is even better than the half price Spotify Premium student deal, I'll be signing up for this. Thanks so much OP!

Great deal, deezer is very good, as good as spotify, I'm half way through a free 12 month subscription I got with my sonos and it's worked great, one issue I did have was when I synced some albums to my wife's phone for offline play.. They skipped all the time for some reason, worked fine on my phone.
I'll probably pay the £10 a month when my free sub runs out because I now use it all the time.
souljacker
6 Jun 15 #117
Not really, most of the music available is similar, and I've never noticed any difference in sound quality, I'm more than happy with my free subscription and I will glady pay £10pm when it runs out

How can you say that it's a "nightmare" to set up a playlist in Deezer?? You just go to playlists, and select "new playlist" - alternatively, just tap on a song or album and choose "add to playlist"......it couldn't be any easier! (and is much the same as Spotify).

I'm not sure what you're expecting - but the process is hardly a "nightmare"!!

Wow!! Never used a streaming service before on the basis I prefer buying second hand CD's and ripping them in lossless format. However the quality on Deezer is brilliant. Deezer is definitely worth 99p for 3 months when i'm on my computer i will use Deezer over Spotify until it stops working and the 'puter needs a restart. i imported some of my Spotify playlists using Spotizr the app on android doesn't work well at all for me in terms of playing music so i will use the Spotify app.

If you choose to use Deezer free verses Spotify free the former is free unlimited streaming if you link your Last.fm account to it scrobbles are instant the latter is free 10hrs/month if you link your Last.fm account scrobbles require you to listen to half the song

You will be charged a one-time payment of £0.99. At the end of 3 months, you will be charged the standard rate of £9.99 per month. This offer is non-binding. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Offer valid until 01/07/15. Offer cannot be combined and is valid once only.

it's not as good as Spotify in my opinion but this is still a great offer and a no brainer. When I signed up for the 3 month offer last time deezer also extended me for an extra month or so that I could decide on whether or not to continue with the membership.

6 Jun 15 #77
I can confirm its only for NEW members, Deezer is good, but be WISE to cancel your subscription if you do not wish to continue, as I have just discovered NO pre-warning to future payments, they just whip £9.99 straight out of your bank account. I personally wished to cancel and shall make sure I do prior to next months payment been swiped out. £40 a month is a lot of money really.

I have Deezer for free with my EE plan and as good as it is for free, its no where as good as Spotify as im paying for the premium every month. Maybe because I love the way that spotify deals with playlist (deezer is a nightmare to set one up) but spotify, for the bands I like, has more to offer.

Excellent deal. No brainer for music fans. Spotify can go and kiss my a**e for £9.99 a month. I can manage 99p for three months no problem. This is perfect way to, officially, kick start the summer! Get in you beauty!

As previous posts have written, syncing playlist with spotizer takes secs to do you can cancel this contract as soon as your premium account is up and running. It's take me 10/15 to sort everything from start to finish and I hardly used deezer until today.
