May I ask why my deal for a new gen now tv box with 6 months entertainment pass for £18.99 @ Amazon got deleted? I did send an email asking why this morning.

Think it was John Lennon who said something like "Life is what happens to you while you are busy doing other things" ish!
Is content on Now TV of HD quality? 720p or 1080p?
Game of Thrones available?
Where can I find list of box sets available on Now TV?

Thank you 'monkey. If that is all it's for I'll pass. Generally I watch a movie/tv episode once then delete it or store it maybe for a rainy day (which never comes so I never revisit them). And only listen to music when out and about.
Hope you got your pond sorted out from some months back.

Its all dependant on what you want. I have a media library, I like to see it on all devices, so it sits on a server that all devices can access at once. This is one of those devices. If you have no need for that its fine, its just what I require.
Meathotukdeals
14 Jun 15#84
Not being techy I don't get it. If you have your media say on sd card you can play it on your laptop, your tablet, your mobile and plug your device into your TV...play it on your TV. Need an SD card reader and an OTG USB cable tops (on and laptop/mobile/tablet to TVcable). All without having to spend hours banging head in to wall/floor/obstacle of your choice with techy stuff.

You can watch terrestrial catchup, sky movies and other channels, YouTube, it's a plex client, loads of stuff tbh. I have purchased probably a dozen so far just for remote plex clients, cheapest media player I've found for it.

Has anyone got amazon video working on a nowtv or roku yet? Can't see the point in paying for prime when I can't use the tv service.
If you go onto your online account on Nowtv and threaten to cancel they will offer you the entertainment for £3.49 for four months too...

It isn't illegal, stop talking bolox.
Popcorn time is illegal, but its also far far superior to Netflix, sky, amazon and and kodi (for ease of use).
Just make sure you download the 'official version' and if pos the version without seeding.

kodi in unreliable and illegal so its not a fair comparison.

Bought a box on Monday, now TV is pure garbage! The picture quality and audio is terrible. Tried it on PS3/4 the box laptop.... All same crappy quality. A lot of the stuff isn't even HD and hardly anything even looks it. When you put Netflix prime or just a HD TV channel on after watching now TV you notice how bad it is.

Am I right in thinking that I can have more than 1 box set up on the same account
so I can watch movies etc on 3 boxes and only have to pay 1 subscription fee?

Yes, you can actually have four devices, we share account with daughter and her boyfriend, works really well.
Also the account can be used on a PC or Laptop, PS3 and Xbox 360 - may even work on PS4 and XboxOne I do not own them.

Bit suspicious of these terms on Shopto
In the unlikely event an item purchased from our Electronics section develops a fault please check the list below to see if the item should be returned to us or to the manufacturer. With many items the manufacturer requires the item to be returned to them directly for repair or replacement ...
So the Sale of Goods Act does not apply to Shopto then?
Or so they would try to con us into thinking to avoid their responsibility if they accidentally sell faulty goods.
No thanks, I will stick with Amazon, less hassle returning duff goods.

22 May 15#21
does it play netflix?
ST3123 to andyharle10
22 May 15#22
No. IMHO the only major omission from the channel line up, well it doesn't have Amazon instant either but I wouldn't call that major.
The reason is obvious, Sky don't want to allow a competitor that debateably offers a wider selection of content and better value on their box as it would tempt people towards Netflix who might otherwise subscribe to Now TV.
Of course it's a bit of a blinkered view as these days practically everything you connect to a TV (and often the TV itself) can run Netflix so it's probably only the most casual of viewers who would be deterred by it's absence on a now tv box but I suppose it gets them a few extra subscribers....
No one is silly paying at all. I have just bought a Fire Stick and installed Kodi on it. I still like having the quality of Netflix with subscription to be able to watch many a show with decent audio....you are limited with Kodi streams with audio, majority is 2 channel, you also have the inconvenience of streams being pulled.
I like the convenience of both. That does not make me or anyone else silly.
For latest shows being aired Kodi saves having to bittorrent them...for released shows the quality and audio on Netflix is superior.

Don't forget to register via Topcashback and those that don't want to give there credit card details can still get a username by just registering and then clicking cancel when it comes to the page where you are asked to put your credit card details in but if you do that I don't know if you will get Topcashback or not.

Yes, they are treated as separate subscriptions so any voucher/offer you have on the entertainment makes no difference to the movies, and vice-versa.
