these A8"s are useless without AMDs hardware management software. Does anyone know if it comes with OEM software? or is it straight out refurbished with a blank copy of windows?

Avoid Curry's a total waste of time, their knowhow team knows nothing , a was rebuilt after 10 months then went 2 weeks later same thingwouldn't switch on, they said we broke the charger port which was melted not snapped, bought advent at the same time that went in last week wouldn't turn on, got it back a week later tried it straight away still wouldn't turn on so back it is again, let's see if they say we damaged this one!! and avoid HP too, the HP went in to HP because I told them the charger port was melted not snapped and liquid suddenly appeared in our laptop. yet no liquid was ever anywhere near it so a £400 laptop lasted 10 months and now it's useless. Reading other comments on many sites these are very common occurrences with both these companies they need shutting down rip off merchants

I have a HP 17 inch laptop that looks similar.... of the 13 months I have had it it has spent 4 months broken and 3 visits to HP support.... NEVER again will I buy HP no matter how cheap...!

HP Pavilion comes with a great trouble of hinges issue as it looses in 3 to 6 months and this does not covered under warranties as HP says that this is not manufacturing fault but it happens due to wear and tear.

There's so many gotchas with notebooks these days. The model numbers and designs keep changing so the faults keep moving around. I tend to keep to business models as they normally come with extended warranties and parts are cheap on ebay once companies start dumping their stock during refresh cycles.

I use to have this problem on the old business laptops, the newer ones have been fine for me (business and personal laptops).

There is a white i5-4288U which is much better for £269.99 on their webby if you're quick. I got the blue one on the weekend (unless you wanted the touchscreen..)
Is refurbed, its PC world, its not a good deal sorry, cold

I missed the £250 Intel one, bought the £300 one, and it's quite good, couldn't tell its second at all. Although it's much bigger than I thought, looks like a 17in laptop. But I would buy it again if I need another one

I don't recommend PC World. One of the worst pc retailers in my opinion.
