Think these used to be 65p & two for £1.
Good price for soft powdered doughnuts. Used to be my favorite out all the selections with Asda, Tesco etc. They use sugar in the doughnut which is horrible. But the powder stuff is nicer.

Yes these did used to be 65p / 2 for £1. Still a saving of 6p for two bags is better than nothing
I agree with you on the sugar, I think Morrisons doughnuts are really nice, Very moreish though

Yeah caster sugar, it's like powder, so I had wrote that, as wasn't sure on it's name.
It's seems nicer with that over grain sugar.

Bought the sugar ring donuts today and there's 6 in a packet.
fyi They don't for part of a calorie controlled diet or are one of your 5-a-day
So much nicer and cheaper than the expensive hyped crap that is Krispy Creme.

Hate the soft powder sugar on Morrison's doughnuts .... Sainsbury's make the best jam doughnuts by far, they use proper sugar.

Morrisons use Icing Sugar to coat the doughnuts (I used to make them years ago). This make them the worst. Asda are next because they never seem to have much sugar. Tesco score second place for consistent sugaryness, but the nut itself can be a bit heavy. Sainsburys top the lot. Light, good jam, plenty of crispy sugar and bigger than the others too.

Morrisons are insanely sickly, seem to remember them being cooked in a way that meant the dough had a slight crisp to it which I really liked. They're tasty enough for you to want to eat more than one at a time but sickly enough to make you wish you really hadn't.
Tesco doughnuts on the other-hand are terrible, they almost never put enough jam in them so they end up horribly dry. Their 'duffins' however are incredible.

Bought a pack yesterday and they were not very nice at all. Dry and tasteless. They always were my favourite supermarket doughnut - perhaps I was unlucky. Have to say Greggs are now my doughnut of choice.

Bought 5 pack jam doughnuts and 5 pack custard filled doughnuts from Morrisons last week. Less than half a teaspoon of filling in both varieties. Absolutely dreadful. I know they were only 50p for five, but honestly, I would rather pay extra for a decent amount of filling. This is not a new issue either. Test, Sainsbury's and Morrisons have all been guilty of this for the past year. Stop it! They're vile and I'm fed up with playing 'hunt the filling'. :rage:
