Shame they cant get this fee down to a more reasonnable area say £10 p/m and offer some discount on anything bought inside. My local cinema is an odeon its just a shame their movie fees are so crazy i opt to drive 5-10miles and save some ££ using alternative cinemas.

With Cineworld doing a similar kind of package for £16.40, this seems roughly on par. With the average ticket never short of £10, this seems fairly good if it is to be true. Although I know what you mean, I'm sure it would go like hot cakes if it was that cheap.
SteadVex to bencompston

£99 a year is less than £10 a month. Why would any business offer a service for unlimited use a month for less than one cinema ticket? Last time I went to the Odeon it was £11 a ticket. Non 3d!
Seems good to me if you go frequently

I guess that this is a step in the right direction, although the price does seem a bit steep compared to the likes of Cineworld. Still, Odeon have been pretty ridiculous with their pricing recently, especially the current £1 'Blockbuster' charge - seriously, that one boils my blood! My local has also just changed 'cheap Tuesday's' to 'cheap Monday's'... and upped the price by a couple of quid in the process.
What does this mean for Odeon Points though? That's another where the points required to redeem a free ticket has risen dramatically over the last few years.
Any chance we could see a bigger picture OP? Would be good to read through the details.

I use the meerkcat offer on Tuesday or Wednesdays for me and my lass. So its only £7.95 a film.
So this would cost £198 for us for 6 months, unless you can combine it with the 2-1 offers.

It used to work that way when they had Orange Wednesday and people used their Cineworld Unlimited card, so it could possibly be combined. I wouldn't be certain though since this is a different card and offer. Shall have to wait and see or ask Odeon.
thanks for the reply I couldn't find anything near me so this makes more sense now. Just have to wait for this to be rolled out. Hopefully it won't be licked down to one cinema either one it's rolled out and like fireworks one can be used at any.

Many Odeon cinemas charge around £5 or £6 per ticket every day so this might not be a good deal for them unless their cinemas are going to increase prices.

At £99 for 6months the price comes down to £16.60 p/m. Which is only 0.20p more than cineworld. This is great, hopefully VUE will get into this as they're much closer to me. I could go more frequently than the cineworld.
Only perks cineworld now has is their £0 charge for 3D, 25% off of cinema food and drink, and there wide range of discounts with restaurants around their cinemas.

i would expect Odeon to be free 3D and potentialy IMAX as they need to compete. Then again, not many films are filmed using IMAX camera's (or partly filmed - as that is what most of them are).

Not before time. Refuse to pay around £11.50 (better seat) for a ticket to see a film in Leicester. Apart from the odd Blockbuster release shown in the evening, many screenings are virtually empty, yet Odeon keep putting the prices up. Don't get me started on the price of refreshments either.

This maybe should be added to the top:
I have just called Odeon. They have confirmed that 3D IS included.
IMAX IS NOT as none of the venues that they are doing this trial at have IMAX.

I work for Cineworld and have been told that even though it's Limitless, it has a tonne of limits to it and you can't view 3D films with it - even though there are a large amount of films that are released in 3D nowadays. Just wanted to point out that at Cineworld we offer Unlimited Cards and have done for years - you get 10% off all good and drink in the first year, which gets upped to 25% in the second year. Unlimited Cards are £16.90 a month and it is a years contract which you can choose to continue after so. At the moment we're offering a 13 months for the price of 12 offer. Of you visit a Cineworld Cinema - ask a member of staff about it. We have promo codes to give to customers. :-) Lol
Filmguy15 to Allybab
11 Feb 16#76
You fail to say that Unlimited also has a ton of limitations to it. Firstly you have to pay extra for 3D films in your first year and it's only once you get your black card in your second year, that 3D is included. You also fail to mention that just like Limitless, the customer has to pay an uplift if they want to watch a film in IMAX or premium seating or 4Dx.
Cineworld also charge a premium for the West End but now that the Trocadero is Picturehouse Central, it cuts down on the viewing option for your members.
Just putting it in perspective

You don't get 3D included for the first 12 months of Unlimited so whilst slightly dearer, the scheme is on par with Cineworld. Let's put it in perspective, it was years before Cineworld offered anything other than the standard 2D entry. The black premium card is only a recent introduction and that is when they offered 25% off snacks and inclusive 3D.
Odeon's scheme has to get off the ground first.

However, I received an email survey recently and it seems they are looking into an option for a member plus guest.
