Statistically more chance of you dying on the way to Brussels than on a 6/7 airline safety rating flying to HK via Istanbul.
So, best option... stay at home in a cotton wool padded room with no electricity and no HUKD.

Superb airline the last time I used them. Miles ahead of BA in terms of service and legroom.

Give me TA over BA every day of the week. Have you even been on one of their flights? Probably not.

Not sure why you're on this website if you won't take a £250 flight with them because of a 9 hour service you have received previously. You can obviously afford to fly on business with CX

They have a 6/7 rating on Airline Ratings for safety. Every other major carrier such as BA, KLM, Emirates etc etc all have a 7/7 rating.

It's a little unfortunate that a lot of these deals are from airports outside the UK, shame we can't have these offers from our local airports

Ahhh well. As long as the service has been good when the aircraft ploughs off the end of the runway on landing

Fantastic airline. I flew to Kuala Lumpur last year with them. Plenty of leg room, nice food and friendly staff.
If you think Turkish are bad then try Air Asia!

Would never use Turkish Airlines again, if it was my choice.
I went to Iraq last year with them, we couldn't land in Basra due to the mist/fog. So we circled for 2 hours, it didn't clear so it was diverted to Kuwait. We sat on the Tarmac for 5 hours, no information from TA at all. Lots of arguments and almost fighting from the Iraqi locals and the TA staff. Even the police came on the flight, still no information from them. Finally we were told, we are going to take off, only to be told we are returning to Istanbul. 15 minutes into the 3.5 hour flight, I'm woken by people running around and raised voices. The raised voices are both pilots and all the crew, running up and down the aisle with extinguishers, the plane is full of grey smoke. There looking in the over head bins and under the seats for 10 minutes. The pilot returns to to cockpit and announces they can't find the source and they are going to blow the air through the plane. This cleared the smoke but you could still smell burning. They announce again they have no alarms on there panel, and then inform us we will continue to Istanbul which is 3 hours away and not return or land at a local airport.
In Istanbul we were told to hang around the airport for a few hours, whilst they sort things out. Again no information for those 2 hours. Finally some information, we are being taken to a hotel. This hotel straight from the 60's yellow smoked stained walls and faulty tower standard of service. They told us we would be informed when we would need to return to the airport. This was now 11pm at night, after a long day most people wanted to sleep. In the hotel we were woken every hour, to be told we are going back to the airport. Only to get to the lobby and be told it was a false alarm. Finally at 5am and no sleep we were taken to the airport, with no sleep or breakfast. At the airport they informed us the flight would leave at 11am????? People asked why we were taken back to the airport so early, and about breakfast. They were basically told to stop asking questions or ignored.
On the return we were delayed again by 4 hours. Missing the connection, so we had nearly a 24 hour wait until the next flight. This time we had a better hotel, though no choice of food from the hotel. We again left the hotel at 5am, before breakfast. So at the airport the question was raised again, breakfast, this time we were told we should of had it at the hotel. When we told them breakfast only starts at 6.30am, they said its not there problem.
So for the people who say its a good airline, you've been lucky. You will only find out if its a good airline, when there are delays or other issues.
Rant over.....

You could be right, I might have been unlucky. Though, I fly lots through work, and have been delayed with many airlines.
This month Alone I have travelled with Etihad to Oman, Emirates to Dubai and BA to Egypt. It's obviously my opinion and others will have there's, but for me they have been the worst.

I've travelled Turkish a few times! They are okay to fly with but customer service can be rubbish if you ever run into any issues with them! Can't go wrong if you treat them like a budget airline (which is what I think of BA and many others)! Emirates also was not great recently. Etihad is the best I think! Can you put up any updated dates as I can't find suitable dates now!
