Hi all. I hope that the following helps some unhappy bunnies who have been getting nowhere :smileymad:!

Until recently (I think the start of February) the cashback programme was run on behalf of Lenovo by Opia UK Limited in Gateshead, although the cashback promotion is actually looked after by their Harrogate Branch.

Their email address for queries was [email protected], and their phone number was quoted as 0845 0515 121.

Friend is still having major feedback issues on his with Skype :disappointed:. Anyone else using it with Skype?

I tried claiming with a screenshot of the Very order history and Lenovo declined that and asked me to send them one of the transaction history instead, which they have apparently now used to validate my claim.

There is a thread over on xda-developers which says that the blurry screen is a firmware issue (I don't have the link to hand at the moment). There is also an app which can help with the issue, though you unfortunately need to root the tablet to fix it altogther.

Same problem. I've contacted Very via their chat system and they said they will send a proof of purchase to me by email within the next 7 days.

Ordered an 8" Yoga 2 last night from Very using the £30 discount code. Order confirmed minus £30 credit and £9.86 Quidco tracked. Net cost should be £79.14 once I get £50 cashback.

I also noticed the screen isn't crisp - same thing with my Dell Venue 11.
My sister has an iPad air 2 and the screen is much better, but that cost £480 and the Yoga 2 will hopefully be £105 after all the cashbacks have paid.

Looks like Very have caught on to this as they have now increased the price of the 10" to £249 and the 8" to £229! Glad I got mine earlier......

Hi, hope someone can help.

I received mine yesterday and it seems like a brilliantly made piece of kit. It's my first tablet, so wasn't too sure what to expect, but the first thing that struck me when I switched it on was the quality of the image on screen. It's supposed to full HD, but it just doesn't appear that 'crisp' if you know what I mean. I know the screen is a lot bigger, but it just doesn't compare to the image I get on my LG G3. Also, I found myself comparing it to my telly which is a full HD Panasonic. That's massive and the picture on that is ace and so much crisper.

I am expecting too much from it, and is this the norm for tablets in this price range? Would I get better picture quality on one of the Samsung tab's or even (dare I say it!) an iPad?!?!?

Like I said, it's my first tab, so not sure if I'm expecting too much for what I paid!

If anyone could give me some advice I'd really appreciate it.

I got the same call, took a 2min call to sort out. Was due to a security check. Was told they do it when you have not used your account in a while or your first order over a certain amount and you use click and collect as the delivery method. Just to make sure it's you who placed the order and not someone else planning to click and collect without your permission. I didn't mind calling and saying yes it's me.

I ordered on Thursday fome very,just got the email and I had missed cal from them, no idea what about.Order still processing, I will never ever order anything from Very!!!

Sorry to hear that. I believe credit to account discounts are only for credit orders not when you pay full amount.

Went through TCB, opened an account on very, as codes didn't work applied for a credit account with no issues. The 25 pounds code 4XDWJ worked, basket was showing the discount, there was a link "alternatively pay full amount now" or something like that, paid it off, no new price or anything like this was shown.
Order went out at the full price despite the reduced price shown in the checkout basket, credit card was showing the full price taken, there was no information what amount was going to be taken.
Called CS in the late evening- 3 calls- 3 times hang up on me, not even saying "hello", just noise and conversations in the background. Fourth attempt and lady answered to let me know the department I needed was now closed.
This morning rung again, after transfer some security lady answered and started shouting questions, to begin with "why did you pay the full amount", followed by number of other questions which I've not had even at the USA border, finished with my passport number and details. Then a lovely- "sorry, you don't pass our security check and I'll cancel your order", wtf ???!!!
My patience was well over and I asked to change her attitude as being in whatever position in her company does not imply any rights whatsoever to behave as a police officer dialling with a criminal, let alone relationship between a customer and a shop.
To my questions why she needs this information and what this all is about I got only "it's internal policy which I cannot discover". What security check did I not pass and why- sorry, I can't say.

For me and anyone close to me, I am done with this company, for good. Considering whether to follow this case and put things where they should be.

Are Very not one of the companies who have previous for billing people for the full amount if you use a code for an item excluded in the Ts and Cs? Really tempted by this but would only go with Very of I knew I was getting the extra discount.

Purchased from John Lewis - got the 32gb as it was back in stock. Collecting tomorrow from store. I thought i would go with John Lewis for the 2 year guarantee. Works out about £140 as i bought with an amex card which gives 5% cash back.

I got thw discount on the z3 compact a couple of months back. It was already discounted. Maybe they have changed theor ts and cs.

Even the T&C are stating no discounts on laptops, tablets etc.

You set up an account with Very and spend on it (with Very) as you would were it a credit card. From what I can see as long as you pay the total off within the statement period, there is no interest charged. So it's the same type of thing as having a 'catalogue account' that used to exist many years ago (eeeep, I'm showing my age :confused:).

I must say I found the explanation on Very's website very difficult to work out. But I'll be paying it off as soon as the amount appears on there - the only reason I did it this way was to take advantage of the £25 back.

Bought Yoga 10HD+ 3G from amazon last year, battery life is amazing: 3-4days with very heavy use and 14days light use. Fast and reliable(dropped from 2m bunk bed two times and still running without problems)

Have been using a Yoga 2 daily since I bought it in the Christmas sales (for £225). Without doubt the best tablet I have had to date. The only thing you need to do is download a better desktop as the Lenovo one is ****. At this price it is a steal.

It's a nice looking tablet but for me, the tablet is uncomfortable to hold for any length of time - (but what 10 incher isn't eh nudge, nudge). Too heavy and the balance just seems wrong. I'd imagine this wouldn't be such an issue for the smaller model.

Even at this price I've decided against it.
