Cant see why anyone would bother with one of these when for £799 you can get an iPhone 6 plus and an Otterbox defendeder for £70. As long as you don't get it wet.

Dear Trolls. Its £30 and WATCH THE VIDEO..No Nokia £9.99 job would stand the first test let alone the water and being run over by a car! Its for builders primarily. Great little thing.

Maybe it was designed just for calling so it only supports 2G?

When time is money, and you are earning shagadelic* amounts of the stuff...the seamless integration of Apple gear pays for itself.
However, for the vast majority of people, the ease of use/app availability of an iPhone is vastly outweighed by the prohibitive cost.
*The abbreviated version of that word didn't get past the puritan's that moderate this website

if this is true then I have already tried a JCB branded one and paid a lot more only for it to be returned. too many issues with the phone...
wouldnt work, no network, kept on freezing, couldnt make calls or receive calls, couldnt answer calls.
i'm gonne be giving this a miss and stick to the old Nokia handset.

The point is better chance to make a call in areas where reception is poor. It's important since most of the 900MHz networks has been converted to 3G use and 2G on many areas is limited to 1800MHz only.
1800MHz gives better network capacity but at a price - shorter usable distance between base station and phone.
Last but not least, maximum transmitter power in handheld phone is limited by GSM standards to 2 watt on 900MHz band and only 1 watt on 1800 MHz.
All this means in UK 3G phone can have fairly good reception in the same place where 2G phone will have no reception at all. And, obviously, your network choice is limited.

My Nokia 100 has withstood falls like that of the third test! It's also been through the wash by accident. Still works.
Yes, this workzone phone is stronger - but I just wanted you to be aware that there are many other phones out there that are v.hardy even if they aren't explicitly stated as being 'workzone' phones!

There is in the manual that the website links to though - definitely says "Dual SIM" and SIM1/2 etc.
Though as you say 2G only, so no use to anyone with a 3/Three network SIM.
Emphasis on "The phone is shockproof, waterproof and dustproof." and "WORKZONE".

These get marketed under various brand names - jcb, landrover, fonerange etc.
I'm not sure what the point of 3g would be as it's a dumb phone - it is dual sim as per the video on aldi.
It's a basic phone that you have to try really hard to break. Don't think you can buy one from the uk for less than this.

1. there is no mention about dual SIM
2. it's 2G only
3. poor camera, poor everything
I would suggest to buy 3 cheapest Nokias, all 3 likely withstand way much more than phone above.

they had these in Lewes store 3 weeks ago reduced to £20, left over from the previous batch. the only reason didn't buy was the rubbish camera.

A very sturdy phone. My son had a Samsung one and no matter how many times he dropped it, it was unbreakable. This phone is a lot better because of the dual sim.
