Yes.
We'd a similar one for our tiled kitchen floor that we got from amazon at £39.99. We set it off every night at bed time and it did a good job of clean up dog hairs and crumbs etc. Wouldnt have worked on carpet though. Unfortunately it broke after six months, but being amazon they refunded as they had stopped selling them.
I don't understand why waste so much money in something that you can't Hoover with yourself I am new to robotics but surely a vacuum would be cheaper alternative and a better option in my opinion but I'm old fashioned heat for the price but cold couldn't buy

My cat, Springfield, has got more whiskers than that plasticky thing has brushes, and I can get the kitchen floor spotless with a few shoves. Self cleaned by her own tongue, she coughs it up later as an easy to dispose of small, grey ball of dampened fluff.

11 Feb 15#68
It's definitely doing something. After about 20 mins, it definitely had a quite a bit of stuff in the dust container. Not sure the carpet it was tried on looks that much cleaner though. Certainly no worse than some of the hand held hoovers, but nowhere near as good as our Henry hoover. Bigger stuff won't go up it, and even slightly more stubborn bits of fluff remain on the carpet. It won't do deep pile carpet.
Ours gave out after about 30 mins of playtime, but in fairness it hadn't been charged the recommended 4 hours beforehand. Now it's been charged it'll get a longer test tomorrow.
It is very cute/cool to watch, and quieter than other hoovers so that's a real benefit too. You could probably tolerate being in the same room as it.
In summary, certainly not a useless novelty, but probably not a replacement for your conventional vacuum cleaner.

12 Feb 15#70
No worries. OK I reckon it does about 1:30 hours on a full charge. As above it's definitely picking stuff up, but frustratingly fairly small bits of fluff which have a grip on carpet pile will defeat it. That means that despite picking stuff up, the carpet may not look that much cleaner.
It does rather better on wood/tiled floors. Mostly stuff it can physically suck up, it'll get - unless ingrained/squished into place.
The internal logic isn't that smart - and you can watch it for about 5 minutes stuck in a fairly small area before it manages to escape. I've had it get stuck trying to get under things its too big for or if it strays onto deep pile rugs - but it does mostly look after itself.
solid
12 Feb 15#71
I'm pretty impressed with mine - but there does seem to be an issue if you have a rug in a room - the wheels don't seem to be able to get back onto the rug if the robo-vac rolls off. And my rugs aren't particularly thick.
Also, is there anywhere to get extra brushes, cloths or filters? If not, then that seems to limit the longevity of the device.

I bought one and after a while it needed new batteries. When I last checked Maplin don't do them. It has been sitting in the corner for 1.5 years.
I had an experience with an LG much better specs than this and of course more expensive but worth the money.
