Aha, good spot - I shall amend accordingly.
Indeed. I just went through the sign-up process myself to the point of confirming the payment and at no point did it point out that I was only using a gmail address. No issues with date of birth either.

As it says in the deal post, you don't need to provide any proof you're a graduate. I completed the sign-up process myself before posting the deal and it didn't query it at any stage.

Ok stupid question
When booking concession tickets (i.e. rugby league games) that are reserved for students, would this be a valid ID for the discount?
Do we have to provide valid student ID while using this in stores or cinema. Anyone have any experience?

I briefly had an NUS card a few years ago when I was doing an Open University course and when I used it at the cinema, they took the card and gave me the discount without an issue - I didn't have to provide any other form of ID, so I would assume it's the same nowadays although i'm more than willing to stand corrected if not.

You often have to provide your university ID (library) card along with a discount card for those offers reserved for students only. Not all, obviously, but those that you'd expect (like entrance to places). The university ID card has name, date of course and photo etc.

Definitely not the case for the vast majority of student ID cards

I've had an NUS card for a few years and have never had to provide any other form of ID, the NUS card itself is sufficient. If you check out the discount in most shops/cinemas etc it will specifically ask for an NYS card. Def worth getting for this price!
