For all the HUKD-ers that snapped Sony Mirrorless (E-Mount) from Amazon Lightning deal. This is one of the lens to complement the focal range.
This is the cheapest one that I could find on the internet (with Sony cashback - Sony warranty)
Free delivery for order above £150.
==============
Only compatible with E-mount cameras
Slim, light telephoto with 3.8x zoom range
Optical SteadyShot for crisper handheld images
Quiet, responsive autofocus with stills and video
Sony's SEL55210 55-210mm F4.5-6.3 Lens brings the world to owners of NEX cameras in a long telephoto zoom lens. The equivalent of 82-315 mm in full-frame or 35 mm format, this lens has a versatile short-to-long telephoto range. The wide range is great for bringing your subject closer to you, no matter how far away it is. Internal focusing gives you smooth, responsive autofocus, with minimum noise--perfect for capturing video.
With a telephoto lens, image stabilization is very important to prevent camera shake--Optical SteadyShot gives you the ability to capture sharp, crisp images (still or video) even in low light or when zooming into distant subjects. Two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements help to suppress chromatic aberration bleeding at all focal lengths, so you have excellent image quality throughout the zoom range. This is a lens that you'll want to keep handy at all times for dramatic long-range images.
Versatile telephoto lens with 3.8x zoom range
Ideal for wide range of shooting applications, including sports and nature
Stylish, light and easy to carry with high quality aluminium alloy finish on barrel
Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation within lens for crisp, stable handheld shooting. Silent mechanism during movie recording
Two ED glass elements and two aspherical elements for excellent optical performance across zoom range
Quiet, responsive autofocus with internal AF mechanism: ideal for still and HD movie shooting
7-blade circular aperture for beautiful defocus effects
Direct Manual Focus with non-rotating focus ring during AF: ideal for precise, comfortable manual focus adjustments
Supplied with front cap, rear cap and lens hood
£154 including the £5 for postage.

You need to include the postage price so £154.

Delivery is free for £150 or more, you just need to add an item for £1 or more to get it, though cheapest item I could find was a magnifying glass at £2.50 though I didn't try very hard.
Bargain price though, cheaper than the gray box Ebay stuff which normally go for around £150 upwards. Not for me though as I rarely use telephotos.

really good price, lens isnt bad and there isn't really much choice anyway
looks huge when extended with hood ofc!
maybe they have counted the cashback twice? as in they planned for 149 after cashback which is normal atm?
report a post if you have a problem with the price dont make a stupid misleading edit
toaster seems to be right with 2.50 being cheapest so its 151.50 unless anyone has a code too

3 Dec 142#7
process is easy
send off the form, make sure its done right but its fairly straightforward from what i remember
not much in life is guaranteed but as long as they get it you shouldn't have a problem
(3rd party deals with not sony themselves)
anyone tried the moon with this? think this is my best one... cropped right back and approx half sized
(did forget to switch off stabilsation though )
apologies to sony if my photo puts anyone off

I ordered this with a Manfroto bag for £10 (Stile Amica 10 - for mirrorless camera). So I got free delivery. The bag well padded and I can put the body with sel1650 and this sel55210. They are using Interlink Express for next day delivery.
I didn't know if I have to put delivery cost in the subject, but I have mentioned that free delivery for order over £150.
Cashback will go back to bank account than we put during the claim. We need to provide bank account number during cash back claim. There is a link to claim the cashback.

That's a nice moon photo that you have taken. You got the moon surface details. Would you mind to share the EXIF such as aperture, White Balance, Shutter speed, ISO, and exposure length ?
The EXIF has been stripped out from the image.

doesn't seem to be on the site
tbh i think might have been price error as i suggested above, certainly doesn't show
Good lens this.
I got it with the Nex-5TY bundle, at the time, Amazon were selling the lens (silver version) for £180

Nooooooooooo - have they sold out?! Been waiting 2 years to get one at a good price!
brilly
3 Dec 14#16
well more like 3x% off as its been 19x on amazon with 50 back making 14x (not right now)
was 135 or so in a lightning deal last year iirc (or less) and tesco had cheap one time too, few and far between though
mikeyfive
3 Dec 14#17
I ordered one at 3am with a B-Grip hand grip for £5, it's already been shipped.
Missed out on this lens when I overslept last year's boxing day (I think) lightning deal. Really happy I was up late last night!

Ha Ha, despite me airily claiming lack of interest in telephotos last night, I too went and an ordered it even later than you (don't ask). Just got confirmation e-mail saying shipped and as a bonus the magnifying glass was out of stock so they reduced my total to £149 but still retaining free delivery.
Thought that it was so cheap that if I don't use it I can sell it down the line.
mikeyfive
3 Dec 14#18
That's a brilliant photo, exactly what I just bought mine to do! As a matter of interest, do you remember what price last year's lightning deal was? I got it in my head it was under £100... Could be totally wrong.
brilly
3 Dec 141#19
its only 210mm though, i find the lack of reach pretty irritating tbh
surely youd do better with one of your other assorted cameras?
on checking it seems to be have been 134.69 on amazons lightning deal last year, tesco was 119.50 though i think as thats what camerapricebuster has as lowest

Can't find the lens anymore, maybe expired.

3 Dec 14#21
Thank you, that makes me even happier
And, at 210mm, it's 180 or so further than most of my lenses so I'm looking forward to trying it, all my photos of the moon so far look like over-exposed, out of focus little white dots... :disappointed:

Actually, had a google around and found these for almost the same price, providing the cashback still applies. Unless I'mmissing something??? Not had chance to check p&p yet.
First one: Including £50.00 cashback. You pay £219.00 today and claim £50.00 cashback.
two others are grey imports so no cashback I think

3 Dec 14#28
Exactly. You can play it with the lens for 6 months, then sell it on... in those months you might become a telephoto convert!
You'll still make a profit if you keep it immaculate... That grip goes for £20ish on eBay too.

That photo looks great !
Tried to get the sony A6000 on black friday but price went up before i managed to.
Waiting for it to drop back to £400 with lens but appreciate people posting e mount lens deals as it helps a novice like me decide whats a good lens deal as the one supplied on the black friday deal is apparently average at best

cheers, tbh the kit lens isn't so far off this one... its crapness is exaggerated...especially considering the size
this is packaged with the other as a dual lens bundle
have taken many good and many bad photos with both lenses :stuck_out_tongue:
did you look at park cameras? they had it at 400 for over 24 hours with voucher code
too late now though ofc
