Good price but is it a good headset? Can't find any info or reviews online. If anyone picks on up next week, please report back! I will if I get one.

I doubt you will get an honest review on here as most people overrate Aldi products, I know this because I've refunded many over the years. Does look quite cheap but suppose what do you expect at the budget end. Personally I think better are available on the web if you want a universal budget headset but I would go for the official kit every time for an extra few quid

I always find Aldi are fine about returns. I've never had an issue with quality from there either (this pc is 9 years old and bought from Aldi, I use it for work every weekday). If you are unsure ask on the till if you can return it if you aren't happy but it isn't faulty, I'm sure they will allow it.

Ive got one just today (18th december ) and they seem good so far the mic is good according to all my friends ive spoke to with these the speakers sound great my only slight issue is that the fabric on the ear cushioning isnt breathable so your ears get hot quick also if you've got big ears you can only were them in a few positions because of how there shaped

Aldi have a 60 days no quibble return policy. As long as you keep your receipt and bring the product back with original packaging in the same condition you bought it in (barring faulty goods obviously) you should 100% be able to get a refund regardless of reason. If you do all that and the cashier says otherwise ask to speak to a manager as they're likely mistaken. That said the only time's I've seen refunds refused have been when either the customer had no receipt or the item was purchased more than 60 days ago.
Bottom line is you might as well give it a whirl while they're in stock. If they suck or don't work with Xbox Ones (which they have been advertised as compatible with) you'll be able to get your money back.

if it says usb powered then you will need to plug into laptop or usb plug or the xbox itself meaning wires

For an XB1 I'd rather go for these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Official-Xbox-One-Stereo-Headset/dp/B00I41H6DQ
If you factor in the likely cost (£20) of an adapter then the official ones are not a bad price really.
I thought my trusty Turtle Beach X41 would just plug in, I was wrong and had to get an adapter to be able to use the chat function.
I found a little bit about connecting headsets to the XB1 here: http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/accessories/connect-compatible-headset
The headset posted by the OP here may be compatible, however how compatible may be limited to letting you hear what is going on (I would question if the mic. will work if it is not plugged into the handset joypad).
To quote my second link above:
"You need a compatible headset and an Xbox One Stereo Headset Adaptor to use a stereo or mono chat headset with Xbox One."
If you have a new version of the Kinect (2.0) you could use that as the mic. for chatting (the old Kinect will not work with XB1 either).
Just trying to help :-)
Heat added for OP taking the time to post a great value headset.
If you are concerned if something will be 100% compatible straight out of the box, it may be best to stick to officially branded products.
I'm only commenting from my own point of view, that I had to buy an audio adapter, then a Kinect 2.0, then I even got myself a media remote - all offical and all work faultlessly.
Good find OP and thank you for posting.

Just for avoidance of doubt, here is a pic from the ALDI laflet this week, as has been mentioned previously in this thread, ALDI are great with returns, so if they do not work with Xbox 1 then there shouldn't be any problems taking them back. From experience the audio products I've bought from ALDI have all been good quality - the soundbase for the TV was fab!

Just purchased these about 30 mins ago for my son who has an Xbox One - the Aldi ads state it is compatible, but the box does not list it and neither do the instructions, only the 360 - there seems to be a hell of a lot of cables and connections to make for any of the consoles. I for one hate trailing wires across the room - that's why we love the wireless controllers, remote controls etc. This will be going back and I will be looking for an alternative.
That said, I am a great fan of Aldi and all their products are top notch - especially the deals - have never had a problem taking anything back.

I've just read the instruction manual online and it has a strange connection set up, you get the audio from a red and white RRCA leads and the usb powers the amp and sends the Mic signal back.

I doubt these work with Xbox one.
I bought them for my son for his PC as his other set has stopped working, I opened the box and noticed there are LOTS of wires. I know this is for PS3 and Xbox360 but can these wires be removed leaving only the USB for PC?
I don't fancy and I doubt my son will either having the composites dangling around the front of his PC.

these work if you have the Xbox one headset adapter already. they require USB power always. build quality is better than turtle beach px22's by miles which are 4 times the price. sound is on par. both these and the px22's are too quiet for my liking but you can probably blame euro h&s legislation for that.

I think the product is great for £15! Good sound quality an comfy, what more do you want for a budget headset. Bought an official xbox rca adapter for £0.50 at cex as I only have optical sound out on my tv or turtle beach do one in Argos for £4.99.

I received this headset for Christmas and, honestly, it isn't bad for what you're paying. Sure there are multiple wires and a personal issue is the size of it compared to my head, but the sound and mic quality (which is what you're looking for rather than its aesthetic) really are surprisingly good for the price. I use it for my PC and the friends I talk to over TeamSpeak are pleased to find out my mic actually sounds quality for a change.
If you want decent/good quality fast and cheap, go to Aldi and pick these up. If you have a little more time on your hands- I'm sure there will be better ones on the internet.

I'm 16 years old and love gaming I have owned 3 sets of turtle beaches and they broke far too easily , so I have some spare money and got a set, I will admit they took me a while to set up but once I got them working they are a good competitor to these bigger brands, only issue is the chat volume can be a bit drowned by game volume . Also I didnt have to buy and cable you only need your av component cable that comes with you console.

plugs into pc's usb (win 7) auto-installs, (set as default in playback devices)
great sound and mic works great for chat.
mainly use them for my ps4 though (have to go into settings for some tinkering) and they do the job, brilliant sound, bass and treble are not too overbearing, i have ushally use em at 4am and have to take them off because you think its too loud, if i had paid 50 quid for these i would still feel as though i got a good bargain, at 15 they're a steal, my cousins have all got pairs and none of us have had any problems, they say you get what you pay for, in this case you get much more, highly reccommended.

I bought a set of these today just so i got a spare set for my PC as they were down to £10. I don't know if its meant to come with a driver or it literally uses the internet to find one but i haven't found either .
But after various trys with different USB ports i eventually found that having them set on the line as set as X Box and use the mic volume instead of the ear volume they worked ???? ... no idea how or why .
Still shows as not connected in the playback section of volume control in control panel or taskbar on windows 10 but somehow they work .
As for sound i have tried with music and games ...ive got to say its good for a buget set of gaming headphones . i can hear more going on around than i can through the normal desktop speakers .
So as a idea if using on the PC this is what i did to solve it ... i cannot say for X Box or PS as don't own either
