This sewing machine is £295 in homebase & argos.
I saw this in lidl this morning in Bridgend, Glamorgan for £99. It looked good for the features but it's still expensive! I came home and my husband suggested I could have it for my birthday & Christmas and picked up the last one in stock tonight. I spent last night fighting with my 25 year old Singer which I still love. I had it for my 18th - don't do the maths please! Parts have started breaking off my old singer - plastic fatigue. Still I can't complain as I was repairing an oven glove with a double layer of denim. The reviews of the 6189 are mixed but the features (which I won't bore all you non sewers out there) tick all the boxes including a very high rise sewing arm for quilting and sewing up oven gloves with two layers of denim.
I found this good review to help you make up your mind.http://www.sewinginsight.com/singer/singer-brilliance-6180-review/

Possibly a returned one? Great find though and glad that you like it.

Pretty sure you won't find this anywhere. Your best bet is to ring customer services and see if they can locate any nearby. These and the overlockers were pretty much sold out everywhere after one day afaik though so you may have been very lucky.
