Damn! I bought this at Waitrose over the weekend for £17...... that's 5 zloty down the drain.
Anyway this never seems to be on offer so well worth a drop or two for £16

It's made from rye - there's not much sugar in grass, after all.

The grass is added as a flavouring after distillation. In Poland you can buy the dried grass to add to plain spirit and make your own version. The stem of grass in the bottle is just for show and occasionally you'll find a bottle with one missing - it's still green and still tastes the same.

£16 lol, this is £6 in polish duty free, gonna have to get some apple juice and try it, been gathering dust ever since I bought it..

Giving up alcohol, I just don't see the point unless your on the verge of being an alcoholic, moderation is the key to everything in life..

Have to stick my 2 pennies worth in here - for all those who are claiming this stuff is rank, I sincerely hope you have been trying to drink it neat. It is not designed to be drank as a shot or without a mixer. As some people have rightly pointed out, the best way to enjoy it is with an ample amount of apple juice. If you have it on it's own it tastes like diesel - and you're right, its horrible.

Source: I am married to a Pole. I drank this stuff with my now father-in-law to toast my engagement to his daughter and have been enjoying it in generous amounts (with apple juice ONLY) ever since. It is amazing. I repeat, amazing.

Can't vote it hot though, I bring it back for a fraction of this price everytime we visit Poland! :stuck_out_tongue:

Tastes just fine neat.

When drank neat, it must be chilled. Very decent stuff and one of the best flavoured vodkas out there. Yellowish tint comes from the bison's **** so does the taste, apparently...

Tried it with apple juice after advice from this site. Still horrible. In fact mixing apple juice with spirit is a poor idea, it tastes wrong.

Anyway, for those who like it, good luck. For those who have not tried it yet, be prepared as it's different.

Strangely enough, I just tried this with Guarana Antarctica (available at Asda, 6 for £3), and it's gorgeous. The flavours really compliment each other.
