Not what it seems, only unlimited Lyca to Lyca minutes. A lot of other mobile companies charge international rates to call Lyca mobile phones

The £17 down to £15 offer that this refers to specifies unlimited minutes and text in addition to unlimited Lyca to Lyca minutes and texts.
That said, I think I'd make more use of the £15 unlimited 4G national data offer above that one.

no it is any network just checked

If you port in your non-Lyca number then other networks would not charge exorbitant rates
It's a good deal, specially for more talkative ones

I used to. Although it was on a 3GB per month plan. Not had a problem. I now use EE as availability of lyca network was not great and data connection drops quite a bit

I bought the £12.50 o2 sim that offers the same from e2save. lyca does not have priority as it uses another network where o2 gives full quality network. there is also a 8gb for 15 a month. and tentering is also allowed.

Is that a straight £12.50 a month or after a redemption/cash back deal?

what network do they use?
was gonna go get virgin mobile next weekend which uses orange. I can't go back to using O2, they use yo cut out every 3 months for a few days.

Most of servive provider charge very heavily if someone is calling lyca or any other mvno like vactone etc... it might be cost effective for you but not certainly for friends & family, who will call you on lyca number.

My question is.... Why do network providers charge loads to call a lycamobile?! Since they run off the O2 network and is technically in the UK?
Tesco mobile, GiffGaff etc are all MVNOs too but they are unaffected?

o2 customers also get priority on the network and it's not all 4G bands which are available on Lycra it's just 1.
Personally wouldn't use them but they are great for international calling to countries they cover. But most networks such as Three and EE also do this for no additional cost so its not such a big thing anymore.

I know their reception isn't great everywhere but isn't
Three's Pay As You Go offering better? Unlimited data £15 though no tethering on payg. Only pay monthly. Though they have a similar pay monthly deal with 4gb tethering
I just did a quick search online and have found that only TMOBILE charges for calls to Lyca Mobile. Other networks now include them in the bundles.
Can't find much more information other that that. Anybody know any different?

I'd never use LycaMobile the ASA hate them they always mislead with 'Unlimited' infact in a recent complain they was refereed to CAP.

You would be surprised how many companies dont pay UK tax. Amazon and vodafone and some other examples aswel as ebay and paypal. You would think there would be a law to prevent them operating over here and paying tax to the channel islands instead mainland UK.

regarding tax: the same applies to Google, Microsoft, Amazon and a stack of other companies
Basically it costs a fortune for anyone to phone you. Bit of a con really.
