Noticed today that Aldi has their "Specially Selected" Pure Canadian Maple Syrup back in stock at £2.99 for a 250ml bottle. Found in the Moreton store earlier. States "Canada No. 1 medium syrup" on the label.
As many of you like it I hope it's available nationwide.
It's 100% pure maple syrup with nothing else added and tastes great!

We have tried a few and I have to second the Kirkland Maple syrup, tastes natural and isn't overly sweet. managed to get it at £4 a bottle the other day (reduced) but usually £8

I've tried buckwud (more than double the price) and the aldi one doesnt thave a deep flavour like the buckwud dooes but that would be my only fault; it's fantastic for the price!

Back in stock? It's never been off the shelves, and always at the same price.

I haven't seen it stocked in local stores for many months, so it hasn't been available . And, yes, £2.99 seems to be Aldi's price, but not everyone knows about it. Pure Maple syrup is much more expensive elsewhere, so it's a good deal if you can find it. Simply sharing so others can buy!
Enjoy!

it's not been available for a while, I asked about it in store a couple of months ago and was told that they didn't sell it anymore so it's great if this is back in every Aldi now

Bought two bottles on Friday and will get some more at the weekend to help push our weekly shop over £40 so I can use the £5 voucher out of the Mirror.

Asda also do a good maple syrup (well the kids never complain) it's called Vermont and is £2.98 and is 100% pure maple syrup. I've always got it there as Tesco's is almost £6!

Yes, I've had the Vermont brand in the past too and it's good. However, I'm fairly sure it's a smaller bottle at 250g (which is only about 187ml). Aldi's is bigger, at 250ml, (i.e. 1/4 of a litre).
There seems to be a different way of quantifying maple syrup - some bottles show it in grams, others in mls. Slightly mis-leading as it's harder to compare accurately!

If it's called Vermont then it is most likely not pure Canadian maple syrup and everybody knows that only pure Canadian maple syrup is the real deal. Don't get fooled by poor imitation from any other country...

mmmmm... try it on bacon, egg, hash brown, with brown sauce and pepper....

Great standard price at Lidl and Aldi, £30 to £300 at Tesco (well, after walking past those aisles with temptation of image and branding the new Tesco CEO is devising branding and image strategy to make sure you spend £30-£300 on a trip for maple syrup).

OK, I've been had. And I thought the Vermont was a state of the U.S.A. Well, since it says "Product of Canada" and that by law it has to be a produced in Canada despite the confusing name to display this label (not to be confused with beef and horse...), then I'll forgive you. You can keep it and continue enjoying its delicious flavour.
:-)
I'm Canadian BTW so couldn't resist a thread on maple syrup.
