I have 1 of these and they're pretty good, especially for the size. I have hemmed thick jeans and cushion covers also and works fine.

My partner wants something to take up his work trousers, will this do. Is there an ac power lead with it??

This will only be suitable for fine lightweight fabrics so would be no good for work trousers

is this item to buy online or in store?

Aldi don't have an online store of any kind, technically not even allowed to reserve items for customer pick up (although some stores may make exceptions). They also only get one delivery of stock for 'specials' like this so it's essentially first come first served.

Darts = taking in a bit of fabric for adjustment ie vertical stitching in the back of a dress to bring fitting if one has a curved back.

Not sure if it will be able to cope with football leather.
Should be fine for Man Utd shirts though.

Bought two for my granddaughters to put away for Christmas, on one the machine didn't work with the foot pedal so that was returned for a refund. The second worked sporadically but kept jamming up every few stitches. This has also been returned for a refund. I have been sewing for 45 years and I couldn't use these machines. Spend a bit more and get a better one.

Bought this for my 7 year old daughter for christmas.. ive had help time and time again off my mum who has used sewing machines for 25years.. between us we can NOT get this working for more than one row of stitches! It is impossible to work and very very confusing even just to get it all threaded and set up. My daughter hasnt been able to have one go of it. Giving up on it now and buying her a differant one. Not a good machine.

Oh I just bought 1 today it was in the final clearance lot at aldi and I thought I've found a real bargain.
Fingers crossed, I hope mine would work. I only need it for minor repairs every now and again.
