FREE parking for two hours in the Long Stay Car Park at Heathrow Terminal 4. Easy free shuttle bus transfer to Terminal 4 which runs every 10 minutes. Transfer time is about 3 minutes. This is the official Heathrow Terminal 4 Long Stay Car Park. The sign on entry to the car park confirms that there is no charge for up to 2 hours. The free shuttle bus return is from bus stop 3 directly outside the terminal 4 door. The free parking is for drop off and pick up and free entry is not permitted in the same vehicle within 24 hours. You will pay £10 for between 1 & 2 hour parking in the short stay car park, but PLEASE NOTE if you go over your free 2 hours you will be charged the daily rate of £25! Found it by accident and saved myself £10 when picking up my nephew from his flight. I arrived 45 minutes before his flight landed and still had time to get back with a comfortable 20 minutes to spare.

Wow good find! every thing good is always found by accident even though it has been there all the time Penicillin!!!
I wonder all those visitors to T4 are not HUKD's who did not post it before or I missed it. Like OP 2hrs should be enough, if you plan it right though. Try to get there just before arrival and you can pick your loved ones in time to get the car out or just park there sit in the car and tell your passenger where to come, so just in case the two hours are over because of delays you can drive off so not to pay £25. and just drive around or park in Short Park and pay £10 your choice!! but plenty to choose from...
Well Done!!

Better to get there 15 mins after plane arrives plus max 15 mins to terminal and still be there before people you are meeting.

I used the car park for 57 minutes in june 2016. Parking eye ( the management) are charging me £100 for non payment. They refused my appeal of my 2 hrs free parking..without mentioning whether it existed or lifted.I googled it but could not see the sign of 2 hrs free parking. do i have a devance ?

You don't need to register. Just turn up and drive in - the long stay car park entry sign confirms that 2 hours are free. Make sure you don't go over 2hours or you will be charged.

Thanks GwynethJ55,
I used this Wednesday morning , its not very well advertised. The shuttle mini bus arrived within 5 minutes and took a few minutes to get to the airport. It's says its every 10 minutes during normal hours, out of hours you have to phone them, the number is on the bus stop. During out of hours periods (23:00 - 04:00) please call 020 8745 6261 & to request a transfer back to the car park. Please advise the operator of your Terminal, Bus Stop number & car park required.
On your return the bus driver will ask which bus stop you got on, so you'll need to remember that.

Great solution - especially when one or both don't have mobiles. Used yesterday & worked perfectly with very little waiting (terminal 4)

So glad that this is still helping people, I posted it 15 months ago. 'Airporter' posted a link above from the official Heathrow website stating that all terminals offer 2 hours free parking for pick up and drop off. heathrow.com/tra…ing

While waiting early one morning for a pick up at North Terminal Gatwick, I was informed by a helpful employee that the arrivals car park is free for 5 minutes. It works! Just make sure you are on the island opposite the Terminal ground floor exit facing the car park, for a speedy departure.

According to heathrowairport.com/tra…ing "Pick-up and drop-off If you are dropping off or picking up passengers you can use the Long Stay car park for 2 hours for free. Please note that re-entry to Heathrow Long Stay Parking is prohibited within 24 hours." It seems therefore that the free parking applies to ALL the long-stay car parks, not just Terminal 4
BTW, the Gatwick free 2 hours long-stay link given above is dead.

You can pull up on a side road just before the airport and check when the flight you are meeting lands if you have wifi heathrowairport.com/fli…als then arrive at the car park just in time to meet someone. The flight I was meeting was delayed by 30 mins but 2 hours was still enough to comfortably get back.

Stansted has 1 hour free and 2 hours for £1 at the Mid Stay car park which is only a 5 minute bus ride away. Free Parking Stansted has no free drop off point at the terminal so this is a good way of doing it.
