Are they any good?

Not a good deal unless it is as good as Nespresso. (£5+ for 200g)

Has anyone used these? A great saving £3 for 10 from Nespresso. I can drink this amount per day. Of course much cheaper than Costa etc.

I normally steer clear of these compatibles but I've tried the Blue one and its delicious!!! Just as frothy as an original

The capsule can sometimes get a bit more stuck but thats it. Heat!!

I've also tried the black one and it was okay (imho)
but I'll honestly be buying loads of the Azzurro Lungo

They have been in Lidl Northern Ireland for the last couple of months and after buying a box of each to try I bought loads of them! They are the best non nespresso capsules on the market and to be honest are a lot better than half of the official ones. In my experience they only stick in the machine if you don't eject them while they are still hot. Buy buy buy!

Nice. I've been buying from Fine Coffee Club as a good alternative to the Nespresso proper pods. I used Lidl's Senseo pods before and they were very nice. I'll definitely give the Lidl pods a try

They do similar at Aldi for the same price. Pretty good coffee too.

They're definitely not as nice as nespresso but they're still nice. And it's handy that you can buy just one box, it's not always ideal having to order in multiples of 50 like on the Nespresso site. My husband particularly likes the espresso one (all black box) as an espresso. I'm not an espresso drinker so I can't comment but he says it's very smooth and is more than happy using them when nespresso capsules aren't around.

I hope they won't stick like the woeful Dualit ones do - those always stuck in my Latissima Plus, I wrote to the company and they said "we've never heard of that happening before" and that was it... Their coffee was simply awful too (and only 30p per box cheaper than the proper Nespresso ones, not even remotely worth it). Are these Lidl ones plastic or metal housing?

I bought one box of the Ristretto and it's lovely. The fit really well and the coffee runs through them as fast as the original Nespresso cups. (Which is the usual issue with off-brand Nespresso cups).

I found them unpleasant to drink.

Wish Aldi or Lidl's would do Tassimo compatible!

just got some lungo and ristretto and must agree they are the best compatibles i have tried .

Was in Lidl earlier and missed these, will pick some up and leave feedback.

I bought some. The capsule is made from plastic, and my machine fails to drop it out, so every time I have to give a push with a spoon after my coffee is ready.
The coffee itself is nice and creamy. Taste wise the originals are obviously better, the lidl ones are lacking the depth of aromas.
Still good for almost half of the price of the originals. Heat added.

Did manage to get them today in 3rd Lidl I tried. I have not had a cup yet but hubby says they are nice!!!

Nope, but personally, I would rather pay the extra 7p a coffee for the Nespresso pods.

Personal taste of course, haven't up/down voted either way, but I would recommend only buying one tube to find out if you like them or not.

Tried other compatibles,along with a neighbour/friend, both of us very particular about our coffee, and found them to be awful. Found these shopping in Lidl (Cornwall) yesterday, bought one box of each.....nervously, to try, and surprise surprise !! they are good. Price right too. I drink coffee all over the world, but to me the test is a good expresso ristretto, and the Lidl ristretto is as good as any other I've liked. Just hope our local store is going to keep these on the shelf as a regular stock item.

As a Lungo. Just wish you could order these online to save me the trip.

Just got some today myself. They are pretty good! I had a couple of the 'Classico" Variety and then a stronger blend. They do come in an irritating seal (individually packaged) like the Cadbury Crispellos, and the capsules are a cheap plastic all of which is none recyclable unfortunately. However the Classico I had was really tasty, well worth the price! Even then the original ones directly from Nespresso are good value too compared to say Tassimo! I would give them ago even if they are not the best, you haven't broke the bank to try them! :smiley:

Has anyone tried these in an Inissia? The only compatables that seem to work in it are the ones that are already pierced in the small end.

It states on the box that they are for compatible use in a nespresso machine only. Sorry.

I bought these recently thinking they have to be worth a shot at that price, unfortunately i cant comment on how they taste as they did not work, it took more effort than normal to push the locking lever down. They didnt seal & most of the water just poured into the empty capsule container. No big deal i thought as it was worth a shot at the price. That was until i tried to use an original capsule & now they are doing the same thing, the machine has operated faultless for the last 4 years until using the lidl capsules.
Have complained to Lidl but still no response.

Just tried the lidl coffee pods both the classio and the ristretto both are really good the ristretto is a little stronger, there will be no
problems with these pods water flowing through them etc, as the bottom of the pods have a mesh, they are wrapped individually to keep
the coffee fresh no real point in paying through the nose for nespresso pods, they are going to have to wise up on their prices if they want to compete with lidl pods they are as good as, have not tried the azzurro yet they had run out, some people may be a little sniffy about using pods from lidl, get real they are good.

I've just found these in Aldi, I have an Inissia and have ran out of my pods so I thought I'd try them. I bought the Lungo variety - tried it as a Lungo and it was weak and bitter.
Tried it as an Espresso and it's rich, creamy and tastes great. I will be getting more of these as a backup. I haven't had any get stuck in the chamber yet either.

Like other commenters I thought these were worth trying at the price. Very disappointing, the pods are smaller than the nespresso ones so fall through the slot where you place to make coffee. When you manage to make them stay put they produce a very weak version of the coffee and I have to use 2/3 to achieve anything drinkable so no saving compared to one nespresso pod! Another problem is when the machine first starts to dispense it is just water and once the coffee starts to come through the machine sounds like it is struggling to get the water through the pod. This could be due to the different size and number of holes punched in the top of the decreased size of the pod being too small an area.

tried all of them, lidl pods the best, didn't like the Aldi.pods, and fine coffee club not impressed. a matter of taste I suppose which is why Nespresso do such a big range, don't like all of them. Lidl Ristretto close to the Dharkan, I think. Stocking up big time as Lidl don't always have them.

Have just tried the Lidl capsules - horrible! Not a patch on Nespresso (as I'd expected actually), but that's not the real issue. The capsules are made of plastic and you can taste that in the coffee, a very unpleasant experience. I'll go back to the real thing - buy cheap buy twice as my mother always said.

Are Lidls pods compatible with KFee machines?

I am a bit of a snob when it comes to Coffee it's the only hot drink I drink,always ordered the original pods,however whilst shopping in lidl I had ran out of pods and saw these lidl ones,I bought the azzuro and espresso (blue and black pods) wasn't expecting the world and popped one in wow superb Coffee as nice as original,half the price with nespresso I think you pay a premium on top of the pods for the brand,I used the lidl pods after a dinner party Saturday night everyone commented on the flavour of the coffee all favourable,anyway have Been back to lidl and bought 200! Hope they don't stop doing them,not sure how many of your stereotypical lidl customers would actually own a nespresso machine it you know what I mean,

I find nespresso capsules very bitter. Can anyone suggest a coffee like Costa?
