Cotswold stone, Tip when it turns green just put some bleach with water into your sprayer and give the stone a spray, it works wonders, watch the plants and lawn though

Top deal and very timely. Prior to this the cheapest I found was at my local N&C for 4.20 a bag on a 'Manager's Special' offer. Walked into Asda to grab a pizza and boom there they were, the equivelent of £3 a bag. Who would of thought...Asda for gravel. Will be loading up tonight to finish off the garden.

Please please don't be tempted to use this for your gardens, due to being porous it holds moisture and over a short period of time turns green through algae and looks totally awful.
As a landscaper I have had to remove so much of this terrible aggregate from gardens, drives and borders.
You will regret it if you lay it down.

I've had Cotswold stone in my garden as a path and border for nearly 3 years and it's the same colour as when I put it down. I think it looks great.
so how much time are you talking before it turns green?

That probably explains the fish-friendly & cat-friendly remarks on some retailer sites. I was thinking of getting a few bags of these but the algae thing has put me off a little. But if it's cat unfriendly, I'll be getting some

Same here about the coverage, also how thick it needs to be laid as a border or occasional path.
Thanks.
