20% off your next order at KFC when you buy anything...the cheapest item being a 10p dip.

From tomorrow KFC will knock of 20% off your next order when you fill in an online survey about your previous visit.

The link will be on the bottom of all receipts; once you've submitted it you'll be given a unique code to write on the receipt and then you use that as your voucher.

You will have 3 days to complete the survey and it will be valid for 14 days from the visit date.

Hope that helps someone

While it' not healthy, I do love the taste of their food.
Obviously not an every day thing, but no harm everyone once in a while.

Are you presuming everyone that likes it eats it on a daily basis?
Every now and then will do you no harm at all...

Oh be quiet you nincompoop... Why did you even click on this deal?
Plenty of kids in my family eat KFC, BK, or McD's on occasion, and all of them are in great health.

No, it really isn't, it's peoples inability to eat junk food in moderation that is the problem.

You buy anything from KFC (cheapest being a 10p dip) and the receipt will have a link on it. Type the link into your phone or PC and fill out the survey. A unique reference will be given to you which you write on the receipt and then use that to get 20% off your next order.

Their meals are much better value than say burger king or mc Donalds. At burger king its about 6 quid just for one whopper burger and chips, that doesn't fill me up. Kfc you get 2x pieces of chicken 2x mini fillets 2x hot wings and chips and drink for £6. BARGAIN!! Or if you prefer burgers (why, I don't know) at least you get a side like coleslaw and 2x hot wings with the meals too. KFC FTW!!! WWWOOOOOEEEEEWWWWW.

So I drive down to KFC and buy a 10p dip and then come home, do a survey then wait for a 20% off code?

To be honest you'd really have to be spending >£20 for that to be remotely worthwhile.
jd004b5211 to Wooderson

9 Feb 14 #93
Drive down to KFC, buy a 10p dip, make sure you get receipt. Get phone out, go to the survey link on receipt, fill out survey on your phone, takes 5 minutes max, get your code at the end of the survey, enter that onto receipt. Go back to the counter, order your meal or whatever over £5 and get 20% off.

Order is £5, 20% off is £1 off, and you have a dip, saving you 90p in total for 5 minutes of your time at most. And then of course, when you buy your main meal/order, you get another 20% voucher. If ordering more than one meal, you could do it separately and get 20% off each meal if you have enough time/patience to do that.

Fair comment possiblly, but no less witty or original than the people who attack every fast food deal on here. This isn't a healthy living site - it's about finding deals across the whole spectrum. If people want to buy KFC then it's our role to save them money, not criticise their choice of meal.

That's not bad if you can do it on your phone.Tip for you though, if it's you and a friend there's no point both of you doing it as 20% is proportional, if you go halves on the dip you'll be saving 95p each.

If someone offered me 95p to go into KFC and buy a 10p dip i'd refuse, too cringeworthy and that's without having to return 5 minutes later to place another order.

98% of the time, the KFCs I go to do :s. (even cash payments)

When they did this before in this area I got a receipt 100% of the time though, actually its when they started it before here that I always got receipts from that point onwards. It hasn't been on the receipts for the past couple of months though but, still do get a receipt most of the time.

Macdonalds never give a receipt, even if you pay by card, unless you ask  (where as KFC always give a receipt if paid by card).

Whichever they feed to the chickens to make them grow at twice thr rate of birds raised on natural food. Usually in overcrowded barns and walking in their own cap up to the knees, which by the way, can't support the weight gained at extremely inflated rate.

I'm sure there are enough yummy flavour enhancers most people can't even pronounce to go with it to please your taste buds.

The first half of the film would be about how he tries to buy the dip, but he JUST CAN'T SEEM TO MANAGE IT despite it seeming like such a simple task - the KFC gets robbed while he's there, he gets taken hostage, gets into all sorts of crazy capers, ends up in a ditch and misses his date, BUT HIS DATE WON'T BELIEVE HIM - she's had enough of his undependable a$$ and all his outlandish lies!

The third act is him contritely proving his love by doing an over-the-top act like eating a whole bucket of Zinger(TM) popcorn chicken pieces, his mouth on fire, tears streaming down his face, after which she takes him back, because if THAT crazy act doesn't prove you love her, what will???

Then for the final act, it turns out KFC is not accepting the 20% voucher because they weren't aware the offer was on, so Adam smashes up the place as his girlfriend looks on, shaking her head in disbelief. The film ends with a judge giving him community service as punishment, working in... you've guessed it: that very same branch of KFC, leaving the ending ripe for the inevitable p***-poor shambles of a sequel.

Call me, Adam, I already started work on the screenplay, it's a STINKER, just like you like 'em.

To be honest i don't care if people eat junk food all the time but i do care about the NHS so i say we tax the living siht out of this and other types of low grade crap junk food - too many people are eating it too often. Then we will see less massive fatties walking around and the NHS might still have a chance at survival.
The figure of a few years ago that children born today will die younger than their parents should get alarm bells ringing.

If only i was king for a day....

The NHS won't be around for long so his point is valid. You can eat it but you must pay high VAT on this rubbish so when the legions of fatties use up all the NHS's resources up at least they would have paid more into the (SHARED) system. Like smokers do see?!

No- do you know how much treatments cost to keep people alive eg dialysis is so very expensive. The thing is people tend not to just die on the spot- they get sick for years and years at the cost of "OUR" NHS. I am "over the moon" if people want to fill their faces with junk food (less so about giving it to their children mind)- just not at the expense of the NHS being dismantled. So higher VAT on junk food is the answer...so simple and the people who eat this junk on a regular basis will at least be sharing more of the burden of cost.

I don't think making this poor value food EVEN MORE expensive is the answer. Education - starting kids early on GOOD-tasting, easy-to-make, inexpensive food - has to be the answer. Educating the palate, though, not just drumming recipes in. But I do wonder about kids' tastes - when I was 14, I really liked Pot Noodles (often with a large dollop of butter, to improve it) yet when I tried them again as a college student, I found them completely inedible, even with the magic extra ingredient! However, the flip side is when I see Gordon Ramsey's young kids enjoying all of their dad's great grub as evidenced on his latest series, and I know that there are some kids that are getting an amazing culinary education and will ALL grow up with the right appreciation for food.

The current glut of cookery shows we are experiencing is actually a pretty good situation for once (as opposed to most other cheap TV), if only more kids could be persuaded to watch. Aaah, if only Nigella was 30 all over again, thousands of pubescent boys would be drooling for all the wrong (right?) reasons in front of the telly and hopefully at least SOME of her teachings would sink in...
chapchap
10 Feb 14 #194
Good points but i don't think recipes from TV chefs is the answer either. As i say people can eat whatever they like- but they should contribute more (through higher junk food tax) to the kitty (for when they turn ill). Seems fair to me!

Huge taxes on junk food because some people can't control their eating habits? Don't be silly. They'll just find something less unhealthy and STILL overeat. Why should I pay more money because other people are greedy?

Obesity has NOTHING to do with unhealthy food, it has EVERYTHING to do with people eating more calories than they require. That happens regardless of whether you are eating junk food or freshly prepared food at home.

How about we put huge taxes on sofa's because too many fat people sit on their a**e all day? Massive taxes on consoles and games because too many kids sit there playing them instead of going outside and playing a sport instead? Even bigger taxes on petrol/diesel because too many people use their cars to pop round the shops instead of walking? Etc, etc...

BUT JUNK FOOD ISN'T CHEAP!! A (tiny) piece of chicken breast from KFC was 1 quid the last time I bought it. For that, I can buy about twice the raw breast meat from a supermarket to fry at home in 5 minutes. Or even (if we're talking JUST convenience, ready-to-eat food) that similar amount of money would buy me substantially more ready-cooked, hot chicken from the supermarket than from KFC! Not that supermarkets are paragons of virtue when it comes to ready-to-eat stuff, but it just goes to show that with KFC, McD, BK, etc, YOU ARE HEAVILY PAYING OVER THE ODDS, and for what? The privilege of a smaller queue (sometimes) and possibly, a CLOSER location, and a brand + product you've grown accustomed to, so again, laziness costs you.

The average cost of a "meal" (I put that in inverted commas because it's not what I would consider a meal; I'm not trying to be being superior, but you're not getting a nutritionally well-rounded meal, besides, 20 minutes later you're still hungry!) for one person in KFC is over a fiver. For that money, I can prepare a BIGGER, healthier, heartier meal at home in 25 minutes!

There’s a range of supermarkets called Turkish Food Centre which has great stuff (especially the fruit, veg and olives) at equally great prices, and (at least the one in my area) is not heavily frequented, which means the till queues are non-existent 90% of the time, no matter what hour you shop at.
But even shopping at Morrisons I can make it work; example: a 500g packet of cous-cous is around 50p! That stuff (it's just wheat in granule form) is SO quick and easy to cook, it's ridiculous! It swells up to about 3-4 times the size in about 5 minutes, so that 1 packet is enough for 3 LARGE portions. Obviously, I add a load of good stuff to it - grilled red peppers, grilled aubergine, sautee onions, spices and toasted sesame oil, and there you go! If I fancy meat, I fry some diced chicken separately, or throw in some sliced smoked kabanos sausage and Bob's your father's brother!

I bought some KFC (3 pieces and fries) a couple of weeks back at the drive-through KFC on the roundabout near Cwmbran. I wished I hadn't as the first piece I bit into was about as dry as a Mormon's drink's cabinet. I ate the fries as they were ok. Put the remaining 2 pieces out with a bowl of milk for a cat I call 'Patch' who spends a lot of time hanging around my back door. Looked out later in the day and the chicken was still there but the milk was gone. The next day the chicken was gone too . Personally I suspect another 'tabby' cat who sometimes can be hissing and growling at 'Patch' at night. I guess it takes all sorts...

It comes down to quantity not just eating a particular food type, You can go get a salad at some fancy restaurant which will weigh in at 1000 calories and laden with fat with cheese or dressings but because it's labelled salad and paid more for it you perceive it to be "healthy". The other end at least eating a KFC you have an immediate perception of what the calorie count is likely to be and IMO does not hide it and thus you know exactly what you are eating.
Let's take Nandos as an example - their chicken contains similar levels of sat fat and calories as the equivalent KFC - but it's ok, it's not a junk food restaurant. How about a healthy Avocado and Bean salad instead - nope contains even more than a Zinger salad
Fast food is not unhealthy, eating lots of anything is so how would taxing junk food do anything other than making people pay more for it???
No one is forced to eat KFC or similar food, you don't need to legislate against everything because you perceive people of a certain weight, social standing or whatever getting "away" with something.
How about as motorcyclists are more likely to be involved in an fatal accident that I tax them more because they will use the NHS more often? How about someone who does extreme sports, or a particular job which is more likely to be dangerous - tax them more too I guess? Live in an area with high crime rate or frequent pubs when a fight could kick off? Charging you more too then.

10 Feb 14 1 #242
Exactly! It wouldn't be solving the problem, but adding ANOTHER problem to it and also acting as an extra tax on the less well-off. (without being snobbish, the simple fact is that the lower the average income is an area, the higher the concentration of fast food places)

10 Feb 14 1 #225

mattyh333
10 Feb 14 #226
Dont forget less people smoke these days because its expensive not because its bad for you. If you made a "fat tax" on bad food then people would eat less of it and the tax would be used to repair fat people in hospital! Healthy food should not cost as much as it does in this country , shame more isnt grown in england (plus peoples cooking abilities have gone)
Shoesize to mattyh333
10 Feb 14 1 #243
Really? Are there really fewer people smoking these days than say, the 90s? And if there are (I doubt it) then how would YOU know their motivation?? Everyone I know who has quit (or rather, is trying to - almost all of them keep re-lapsing) is primarily trying to because of their health. That's more important to them than a few more quid leaving their pocket.

As for the extra tax on the fat / unhealthy, how would compounding one problem with another help? Piling on punishment on top of misfortune? This point has already been put by "chapchap" and refuted by others just two pages ago, just as you were becoming active on this thread, so surely you must've seen it!

Actually it is true. I work for KFC and we've been told there'll be one last round of mystery visits and then we'll get monthly reports based on the customer reviews instead. The idea is it provides a more holistic view (rather than just one visit that may have been exceptionally good/bad) and is less black and white (ie was the waiting time reasonable instead of how long was it exactly). Customers will get the 20% off regardless of what feedback they give so the reports should still be accurate.

And you're not that professional if you can't even stick to the terms of your contract, specifically not naming their clients. If they found out you'd posted this your account would be terminated.

If your DCI is 2500, you won't get any fatter eating nothing but 2500 calories of KFC per day than you would eating 2500 calories of salad per day.

People don't seem to understand the basic premise, that if you consume more calories than your body uses, you will get fat whatever you eat/drink, be it 'heathy' or 'junk'.

Hi, Do you just need a picture of the code, or do you also have to take the receipt with you to redeem the offer? Thanks!
bex85
14 Feb 14 #271
You just need to write the code on the receipt and take that in. Think they take the receipt off you. Haven't used this offer since it's been back on so can't confirm though but, pretty sure they took the receipt last time.

I've just been to my local drive thru got given a receipt for my order ( after having to ask for it ) but there's no link for any survey on it!

Yep. I wish we could vote down comments, to take likes away. Also (and some may say it's jealousy) but it rankles me to see some bozo who just signed up, or JUST NOW, for the first time ever posted some crappy comment like that as their first contribution and see it get OVER A HUNDRED AND THIRTY LIKES, while I get my likes the painfully slow way, one or two at a time, even with comments worthy of likes - partly because they're not being seen, because they weren't there at the start, thus never stood a chance of becoming the top comment.
Basically, I hate it when unworthy and crappy comments become the top one by virtue of the self-perpetuating nature of the top comment - due in large part to the laziness of the average person and to the sheep-like nature of humans. BAH!

Useful point - been made already though.

BTW, the word "ingenuine" does not exist. The word is fake.
You could have also had: made-up, counterfeit, non genuine.

For shame, Stimpson J.
I expected better from an R&S and The Tick fan. (In case you're wondering what I'm objecting to: that obvious "joke" has been made at least 10 times in this thread.)

17 Feb 14 #277
no idea whats DCI is but she was good in "The Bill"! So you think the whole country is binge eating giant caesar salads then?? cmon get real! i could eat a salad the size of a house and still be under weight to a fatty who eats a bargain bucket!
mattyh333
17 Feb 14 #278
ps and if your right then im quitting lettuce for colonel saunders!!
mattyh333
17 Feb 14 #279
errr yes? feel free to check! you mis understand why people smoke , i dont know anyone who has relapsed? you get to an age where why would you still smoke? but thats not my point! if you make crap food expensive people wont eat it everyday! why should a salad be classed as a treat? its not in any other developed country (where they have proper size waists?)

Check where? Where do you get those stats from?
If a smoker is addicted (and they all are) then they'll still smoke what their body is asking them for, whether a pack of cigs costs 2 quid or 5.
So if they DID tax junk food even more, all that would happen is that people who have far too much of it now would STILL be having too much - BECAUSE THEY'RE ADDICTED! - the main difference being just that more of their money would go to the junk food industry, so the effect would be that you're just punishing the poor some more!
(It's been shown that fat and sugar, especially refined sugar, and especially in the combinations and proportions that the junk food industry make them, are HIGHLY addictive.)
mattyh333
17 Feb 14 #285
so you think "ronald mcdondald rehab" centres will be needed? oh dear i think we have to agree to disagree! i used to smoke and obviously was addicted and gave up due to the cost and health.. ask a doctor or hospital or check online whether ciagrettes sell as well now as 30years ago! think youll find its a dying market (pardon the pun) and for the vulnerable weak addicts you mention they use electric cigarettes whihc can be used indoors! cigarette companies target 3rd world countries now (watch a film called the insider) ! if junk food is made more expensive how do you expect jim royale and his family to eat a kebab everyday? healthy food should be cheaper like it is in most countries
mattyh333
17 Feb 14 #286
and i do agree with you sugar is addictive but if they made it more expensive then people will change there eating habits ! do you think there will be "sugar dealers" out on the streets?
Shoesize to mattyh333
17 Feb 14 #287
There are sugar dealers out on the streets: KFC, McDonalds, etc...

Good for you if you managed to give up smoking - I know a bunch of people, some of them close family, who have tried for DECADES to quit and apart from short spells, they could not: they tried cold turkey, they tried the patches, the gum, tried reducing, but in the end they just could not give it up!
For some, the best they could do is to switch to roll-up tobacco (fewer noxious chemicals than ready-made cigarettes).
You are unfortunately in the minority. Also, I believe you to be young - I estimate in your early-mid twenties, so you probably hadn't been smoking too long, which obviously helps.
mattyh333
18 Feb 14 #288
i think you must be northern? they have a worse failure rate. My dad smoked 80a day , gave up , my brother smoked 40 a day gave up and I am nearly 40 and gave up! clearly your friends still enjoy smoking or they too would try again and give up! (try hypnotherapy thats what i did) and roll ups are cheaper thats why your friends smoke them
anyway we seem to be going off the point , if they make kfc more expensive people will cook for themselves as will be cheaper

Regardless of whether it's common knowledge or not it is still in the contract you agree to when you sign up with GAP or any other mystery shopping company that you will not reveal the names of clients. If you break that contract by revealing a client then that is (a) unprofessional and (b) grounds for having your account terminated, and that has actually happened to people before when they've revealed a client online.

24 Feb 14 #296
then become a vegeratian? dont remeber colonel saunders doing that? and besides do you think pigs and cows are wined and dined before given a sleeping pill? all animals are not killed in a great way ? you make it sound like the colonels chickens are pinned up on a firing range and shot at? what proof do you have that they are killed any worse than a tesco battery farmed chicken? in all honestly i know nothing about halal mean and have never tried it but would be willing to give it a go
