Finally got mine today after 6 complaints. Only 6 months late. Got a whole extra £5, aren't they generous!

I complained 3 times and finally received it.

Complained. Got an email saying they were being dispatched 8th Aug and to let them know if I had not recieved by 29th Aug. As expected nothing yet arrived so they clearly haven't been sent. Even if you wanted to carry on with the policy, if they can't sort this out I would be concerned with relying on L&G in the event of needing to call on the policy should the worst happen!!!

Just called them.... They will get back to me!

Just tried to use the online form on the banking site and just said cannot complete :-(

not really worth it, being paying for the six months now, not had the vouchers yet.

Despite complaining, I am STILL waiting for mine even though I was promised it would be posted on the 11th!

I did think about keeping the card for all the hassle. Decided to be a good citizen in the end.

They sent me another £75 gift card!. I'll call them and let them know.

Received giftcard, and £10 refund to bank account. After having no response to the online form, I tried both numbers:

0800 027 7166 - useless agent, took endless personal details only to say she would "pass on my query" with no guarantee of action.
03700 10 40 80 - great agent, took details and said it was a "problem with the supply of giftcards from sainsburys." When I said this really wasn't acceptable (oringinal offer stated giftcard eligibility after 4 months) she offered to refer it as a complaint. Then same agent rang me back within a couple of hours stating giftcard would be dispatched by 11th July and they would credit £10 to my bank account (I asked for a credit for inconvenience.) Good luck folks!

We call to chase ours up yesterday and got a snotty lady that said she would raise it as an enquiry and someone would get back to me within 7 days! What is the email address you are sending letters to? Who are the FCA mentioned by the other poster? Thanks

I did mine early jan too and not recieved, I called them as others have and got a call back and a £10 credit, they said next batch is going out mid July and should be with us by 15 July - if it isn't they are getting another call!!!!

You should call them or better still send an email mentioning FCA. They tried to fob me off with some BS about running out of gift cards.

Still not received mine, even though my policy started on 23rd Jan. I've already had the generic 'you should receive this within the next 15 working days' letter. The 15 days is up on Monday. Is anyone else still waiting?

I have received mine, finally!
I sent a strongly worded email and had a call back confirming the gift card would be sent out straight away. They also credited £10 into my back account as an apology for all the hassle.

Finally!, got my £75. Had to call them a couple of more times to sort out.

Had a call from L&G Complaints dept. They said my gift card will be sent with the next batch which is going out next week.

I have yet to receive mine. I've emailed today so will wait and see what happens!

I`ve sent two complains, automated message said I will be contacted in 24h and no one contacted for past 3 days. Not good

The policy was taken under a promotional offer wherein I would be sent £75 worth of sainsburys gift card after 4 months of the policy cover start date. Hi all, have made my 4th payment on 22nd April but no sign of the gift card.

What's the number you guys have been calling, Sainsbury Finance or L&G? Mind sharing it?

No vouchers/gift card yet but received a letter from L&G today. It says they will send the gift card 4 months after the start date. So, sounds like I won't receive it until early June (i.e. after 5 payments, not 4). Still, I should make a £50 profit.

I don't believe them either, but we will see! If nothing is received I will chase them up again. Let us know when yours arrives!

I've just called L&G too, they told me that the vouchers will automatically be sent out within 10 days of whatever day of the month the policy started.

Mine started 22nd Feb, so she said I would receive my voucher by the end of May.

Ok nice. Got 1 year cover for £5 per month. There was no minimum term to qualify for the £75 gift card I hope I am right in saying? -can anyone confirm this?

Darn it just filled it in and realised they use legal and general ...and guess who I currently have life insurance with!!voted hot still as great deal,as I can confirm that all you do is wait for the 4th payment to leave your bank then cancel DD,then you will receive a letter saying if you don't pay then your instance will lapse. Job done,I changed recent as advised to do this and it worked.

They never check, they're all based at my local GP.

All a fiver a month, you can just pay a fiver and they work out the benefits based on risk or you can do it the opposite way and set an amount and pay more.

Also got the error code at the end but was immediately emailed the details, so it went through.

I've signed up a policy everyone I know who I wouldn't be upset if they died, lots of Sainsbury's vouchers for me and maybe i'll get lucky and one of them will snuff it

Hi everyone, just to confirm that the policy is not like a mobile phone contract and can be cancelled at anytime. You need to keep it for four months to get the giftcard. Once cancelled, or if you cancel the direct debit, your cover will continue for thirty days and will then cease.
My partner has also taken out a policy, she signed up to nectar card today via the link on the application page.

I'm game to apply but don't want to struggle to cancel after the 4 months!! Anyone can clarify this? I've looked through T & Cs but can't see anything : (

I phoned them earlier, was told I can cancel whenever I want, no exit fees. Was also told I could phone them to cancel, so hoping everything I was told is correct, someone feel free to phone for further confirmation.

It is a minimum 1 year policy, you will not be able to cancel within that period without paying 12 monthly direct debits.

Can't I cancel with my bank then? Weird how you apply online and need to write to them to cancel.

I got an error page after confirming payment details, but then a confirmation email came through pretty soon afterwards.

Yep, you can. It's all about insurable interest.. If you have a £500k house, you can get £500k worth of life insurance - you can split between as many providers as you like. You can also argue that your life has 'unlimited insurable interest'..

You can have as many insurance policies as you like, what difference does it make? You pay £5, they pay out £60k when you die.

The risk is covered in the amount you pay, the payout you get and the chance of dying.

Generally you're covered if you pay and can cancel at any time, presumably they don't care that much as they won't have to pay out if you die. However you can get about £90 cashback on other policies via TCB but this might be easier to claim, not that I've had issues with TCB, just they take an age to pay and you have to pay for about 6 months.

Might actually take this up as another policy tbh
