BTW, they sell 2 identical products that emit red light. Their Coldsoreclear and Spotclear emit IDENTICAL red light rays specifications. Hence, just buy one and use them interchangeably on either of your affected area. Save your money.

Returns policy is purposely very unclear. The dispatch note in the package says to read the email or website. While the email refers you to their website. And their website tells you to go to the section "How to Return Items" which tells you to refer to the note in the delivery.
There is no transparency whatsoever. If they are not a big shop on high street, one would think this is a home based operation.

lol 660nm that's not even infra red, it's "near infra red". And not even very high for NIR either!!
on the plus side, place one of these on each side of your tv and it should work as a wii or wii u sensor bar. For 1 minute at a time.
Possibly also as a tv remote jammer?
So its not entirely useless.
Oh probably worth also mentioning here how they define the safety standards of near infra red light. They consider that you will get exposed to levels hundreds of times higher than those of an infra red LED in daily life, from everything from the sun to a light bulb or a heater, or open flame. It's very common and that's why it's safe.
So while the device is quite safe...you're adding a tiny bit of near infra red light to a daily exposure of almost constant broader spectrum light including infra red. Or to put it in simpler terms, it's like adding a single drop of water into a cup of tea to make it more hydrating. LOL.
I now feel quite embarrassed though, as I did once buy one of these devices about 4 years ago. Shame on me.
I'm talking about the lysine in White Chocolate not the fat etc. I'm not bothered about that. Being fat is more attractive than having a cold sore

BTW guys. DONT EAT CHOCOLATE. Chocolate contains Arginine which promotes the growth of cold sore cells.
Instead, take LYSINE pills (opposite effect of arginine) to help with healing process and prevention. I normally take 1000mg (1 pill) a day. get them from Holland & Barrett or similar places.
White chocolate is ok as its has a balance of lysine and arginine :smiley:

or just drink diet coke, its a much cheaper way to metabolise this lysine you want from aspartame. Though I doubt it will help your cold sores.
p.s. white chocolate is not "ok" at all, it's cocoa fat, other fats, and sugar. I still eat it but I'm not under any pretence that it's good for my health lol.

I never tried one of these zappers, but I've been taking Lysine (1000mg Free Form) for just over 6 weeks now. My immune system must be quite low because I'd started getting cold sores about once a month. It felt like I'd no sooner get rid of one and then I'd get another. So I read about this Lysine and decided to give it a try. While I realise It's relatively early days, I haven't had any more appear so far. I got mine from ebay. They sell them in 50 tab packs at £4.99 but with buy three get one free at x4 packs (200 tabs) for £14.97. 1000mg Free Form Lysine

Persevered and just ordered 2; one spare for my wife (She uses the Virulite at the moment);
The other for a colleague.
My wife has used the Virulite for years.
It relieves the pain;
It reduces the overall frequency of cold sores.
It reduces the severity, if you begin treatment at that critical first tingle.
She doesn't think it speeds up healing by much.

Finally got it to check out.
They seem to realise that their website can max out by the fact that they have got a "please come back later" page. But the threshold for when the "please come back later" message comes up is obviously not quite linked to the real functionality of the website. Liberal use of F5 to refresh pages.
Gawd only knows if the order will track through TopCashback. And trying to get NEWYEAR10 to work was fruitless.

I bought one of these years ago, it's just a weak infra red LED or two. I mean, maybe it works. Maybe it doesn't. Many times with cold sores you'll get the tingle and then no sore, or you'll get a sore for a day or two. If you use placebo creams or lights then you might think "oh it worked it went quickly" or "it never came" but unfortunately there's no way to really know.
Oh and a footnote. The xbox kinect uses a very powerful IR laser which from some accounts, is likely to be exposing your skin to constant and higher levels of the same range of IR wavelengths than this device ever could be permitted to. Has anyone had less coldsores because of kinect? Perhaps. Again, who knows. But if you get a coldsore, go play some kinectimals or something lol.

Daughter bought me one for Christmas. Both see and i suffer regularly from cold sores. She already got herself one. She told me how good they were although i was a bit sceptical at first but I must say it really did work. Mine usually last 10-14 days but the cold sore i had at Christmas lasted 4 days. Seems to advance the healing process.

Works if you you use it in time, e.g. when you feel the tingle, but if it has started to form I found I still needed the cream, but I also used the light at the same time and the cold soar did not develop that bad. I have two, one at home and one at work, if I feel the tingle use the light and I have been free for six months at least :-) but have to catch in time otherwise it just lingers.

Used to get them frequently but so far it seems to work. Probably all in my mind but meh it was only a quid for the pointer :smiley:

After suffering from cold sores for years and trying everything I could lay my hands on to treat them I brought this thinking it probably wouldn't be any good but was worth a try !
