Lots of 'deals' on things you don't need to pay full price for anyway - better off with a better deal on your breakdown cover!

I would recommend RAC having had green flag and aa in the past. The service personnel take the time to learn more than basic knowledge imho, or so I have found and can often point out specific weaknesses in particular models.

WHSmith 20% off? Seems a bit unlikely/odd with the rest, but good post regardless.
A few years back I had some 25% off discount card which Kew Gardens could not process. As I searched through my wallet for a few more £'s the advisor noticed a (by now expired) RAC card and stated I could still get 20% off entry with that card. Result! For 9 of us I saved about £15, which meant I could buy rip off £3 ice creams outside - it was April, way hot!

Does anyone know what the WH Smith offer is, I can't seem to find any info on this anywhere?

Having got a "fleet" of cars, approx half under 3 years of age and the other half classics, I have found the RAC seriously lacking in recovery personnel and in expertise with the classics, lacking in basic vehicle knowledge and ability. I could not recommend them. When you have cause to complain, their call centres will give you a call and inflame the problem by asking you what you would like from them to help resolve the problem, then tell you they are unable to offer you anything more than a begrudging apology.

The recovery guys are only trained in how to deal with basic and obvious problems at the roadside. Classic cars are a minority and so for you to expect every RAC recovery guy to be able to diagnose and fix problems with your classic cars is unreasonable.
For any problem they are unable to resolve (which normally mean any issue beside flat tyre, flat battery, out of fuel) then recovery to a garage is the next option.
If you don't like their service, go with the AA instead.

Is there a code for booking the holiday in online or is it just a discount for when you turn up wanting a room immediately?

Heat for taking the time to list - I knew the AA offered something similar, but was unaware of the specific list that the RAC also provide.
Thanks OP

Holiday inn - you can generally get 30% off through their reward scheme anyway.
ATS - overpriced on brakes - by a lot! MOT good deal though.
Roadchef discount is good
keep your card if you cancel as there is no expiry date on them generally and so you can use it "forever"
Opening post
I've listed the member benefits below, which were presented on the RAC Rewards website as at the date of posting.
The 20% discount at Roadchef service stations I think is worth noting, considering the price premium that retailers generally apply in such branches.
The 30% discount at Holiday Inn is also fairly attractive if you're thinking of a weekend break.
If you're aware of anything that's missing or incorrect, please leave a comment.
