Totally dont expect to get amazing heat here but hear me out,
Waitrose current meal deal is 2 mains 2 sides and a rice for £10 but you get an extra 10% off with a my waitrose card but the way waitrose discounts work out is them giving it to you on the total cost of the products before taking the deduction to make it £10. Confused? i am slightly from reading it but ill break it down, my list was
1X Beef Masala - £3.89
1X Prawn and mango masala - £3.89
1X 4 pack veg samosas - £2.19
1X Spinach dahl - £2.19
1X Carrot and spinach pilau rice - £1.89
Total - £14.05
The my waitrose card discount takes it from the £14.05 (£1.41) the deducts £4.05 taking it to £8.59. Now its sposed to be a meal for 2 but it could easily feed 3, i can eat a lot but this filled me up, the beef masala is amazing big chunks of beef and the prawn masala was good to with nice sized prawns not thos pony little ones youd noramlly get aswel with my choice of rice and sides were on point.
Also the deal includes various chinese dishes and thai dishes you can mix and match any of the cuisines. Very nice quality food for a fair price.
Plus you can also get a selected free newspaper thanks to alfafmw1 for the reminder.
Also a free tea or coffee thanks to lexa34 for the reminder.

One of the best things about shopping in Waitrose is you only have to shop with people who shop in Waitrose.

The veggie main is the vg biryani and the paneer kadhai masala. For the sides, they have about 3 sides, 3 types of rice and stuff like samosas, bhajia etc. Dont buy a lot of this stuff myself, but my colleagues do and rate it quite high.
Very few chinese veggie options.
Hope this helps.

WARNING Waitrose lamb rogan josh 350g is not included in the current £10 Indian meal offer. Why? I was overcharged at the till and there was nothing on the shelves to indicate this was not included in the offer but I notice online that's the one & only Indian main meal not marked as included. The point of sale info is therefore misleading, as none of the packages in store are marked with a sticker like the online graphics display. I was overcharged and the store couldn't explain why and I will be very wary of these offers in future.

Have to disagree. After extensive testing my view is that Waitrose curries are in a class of their own. I would have to say the M&S selection have deteriorated to the same quality as Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's.

Waitrose curries are miles better than all the others, including M&S.

I tried 6 different Waitrose curries and although good, I found everyone of them inferior to the M&S equivalent. M&S curries are so much better.

The prices can be a bit higher but what I've tried of their own brand stuff seems to be a better quality than some of the other supermarkets.

Personally i part disagree, this deal for example, the curries and sides/rice taste more superior to other "standard" lines from other stores like asda, tesco ect plus waitrose meat is very good compared to other supermarkets the only other decent supermarket for meat is morrisons in my eyes.

All of their food is great quality. Their basics range is like the posh ranges elesewhere IMO! If you do go you can get a free latte and newspaper with a waitrose card, even in stores without a cafe as they have fresh bean machines by customer services. Markdown time is good too-freezer is full of them!

The beef Masala is very good. In fact their Indian stuff is good.
For some reason, just like everywhere else, convenience Chinese food is appalling.

waitrose have a lot of decent deals if im honest I used to think the same as most people but theyve stepped up big time over the last few years in competitiveness.plus when they reduce their stuff at the end of the day it gets whacked right down (like most shops but quality is better in some of their products?)
