I know a sewing machine isn't what everyone wants but i think Brother is a really trusty make and it's not a bad looking machine.

I've read some good reviews on argos from people who said it was their first machine. It's going to be my second, but my first machine was a £15 cheapie from Dunelm! haha. :innocent:

Thanks twiams...
Just read some reviews... mostly good apart from this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B00E9SWGYM
Which ends with "If I had a time machine (if only!) I'd go back and tell myself not to buy this machine. I really wish I'd gone for a janome or a singer."
Main criteria for me is not so much price, but simplicity of use. There's no use it being a brilliant machine if it takes ages to setup and fiddle about with when all you want to do is an occasional bit of quick hemming or whatever.

Fab deal! Guess if they have this machine in store and you have the 20% off you could get it for £55 i think?

I did notice that review, but i didn't pay much attention to it as the Argos ones all say how good and easy it was. I guess everyones different though and people have different experiences with it

I've had this machine for a while now and honestly can't fault it, i love it! I do a lot of thick sewing as i make small pet beds that require a thick wadding which some machines can't handle but this just glides straight through it, i've also made cushion covers and other smaller things from it, and it again just excels with anything! Admittedly i sometimes struggle to keep a straight stitch but this is probably more due to my wobbly hands than anything. I love this machine and would recommend it to everyone. It's a bargain at this price.
