Just seen that Lidl's are getting the 4 Stroke Petrol Generators back in from Thursday.
The best thing about this is the 3 Year Warranty. Aslong as you keep the receipt Lidl usually have a no-quibble policy.

It's not a new concept and has been used in trains for many years.
(It's why you may hear a train revving it's engine before leaving, then going quiet as it actually pulls away - it's charging the capacitors to give it an extra shove to get it moving.)

This type are loud and I wouldn't trust one to run 'sensitive' equipment personally.
But, say a honda with extra silencing that produces the same power is going to be pretty costly to buy new. (The EX4000 which came with my motorhome is a little more powerful and would cost £3.5k new!)

I read that as rather loud - SPL 76dB is equivalent to someone shouting at a distance of 3 feet away - loud enough to get complaints from neighbours, I fear

Heat, hope the Lidl 4 stroke one is better (Lidl gear usually is) but my friend had an Aldi 2 stroke one on his burger van and didn't last 5 mins.
4 Stroke is superior to 2 stroke though, for reliability and noise.
