It's mentioned on the Amazon UK website here next to the Special Offer bubble, details are very ambiguous and it doesn't say anything about it when you click on the Special Offers and Product Promotions link. I wouldn't have taken much notice of it other than the fact the dates are in the future so it hasn't long been added. As I said it may just be an Amazon offer but there's no harm in holding onto our Game codes for a few more days, more so if we're only adding to an existing subscription.

Ha so typical, I only just recently joined psn+ about 2 weeks ago via the £29.99 deal but I'm still happy with the price, I got more than my moneys worth straight away, downloaded 2 full vita games, infamous2, god of war, LBP2, motorstorm apocalpyse, dead or alive 5, mortal kombat, vanquish and a bunch of others. should have joined earlier!

Never been interested in playstation plus, as you lose your games after a year, but is it worth it for £19.99?
No doubt I'll get slaughtered for this post, but I always think I could get a few second hand games for £20/£30 and resell them when finished, as opposed to "virtually" owning games on the PSN, then having the keep pumping money at it in order to keep them?

My personal view is that it is well worth it. £30 per year or so is not much to enable you to have access to so many games without any significant effort. You need a decent unlimited internet connection and a big hard disk is handy too, but if you have those anyway then it is spot on.
Say you are buying and selling 2nd hand games. If they cost £10 on average and lost 10% of their value in the time it took to finish them, £1 a game as and when sounds a good option. The reality though is that you will keep some of them and you will have to pay to sell them (i.e. ebay fees and postage) or take a bigger hit on cost trading them. You will also have to take time effort and potentially cash to obtain them. £30 may be more likely to cover the cost of two kept and three traded. In that same time you would have had around 24 games from PS+ and provided you keep subscribing they will continue to be there.

If the games you download are single player campaign only, or have a limited shelf life before you get bored and move on, or you're happy to play older titles, then getting them on a short PS+ 'rental' sounds worthwhile.
If you buy one or two big releases per year at launch and then hammer the online MP for a year or more with all sorts of DLC, like BF3, then it's wiser to have the disc.
With my Lovefilm, I watch the blu-rays asap then send them back so they dispatch the next one, so that I maximise the number of discs I have each month. Do the same with PS+. Bash through your downloaded games' campaign, then onto the next. You get your value for money and less clutter in your home by not collecting the movies/games and seeing them depreciate in value in front of you.

Already been announced that PS+ will be on PS4. The PS+ service will continue on PS3 anyway, regardless.
It's unclear whether your PS+ account and months on PS3 will transfer to your new PS4, but it'd make sense if they implement that as well.

How long would these be valid? I'm considering buying for more than 1 year as I doubt they will ever be this cheap but I'm certainly not going to buy a PS4 at launch so there will be a gap between when this 1 year subscription ends and where the next one will begin. Or do you think they will keep adding PS3 games once the PS4 is out?

Yes it is - it seems that Uncharted, along with Gravity Rush, will always be free on PS+ for PSVita, likewise LBP2, Mortal Kombat and Motorstorm are always free on PS+ for PS3.

Quickest way to secure them in your download list is to login to the web store with your PSN account:
Then add all of the PS+ games to your basket and check out. When you get back on your PS3/Vita goto Account Management > Download list and set whatever you like downloading.

Unfortunately not. For some strange reason you need to activate PS+ codes on the actual console. Once you've done that you can use the website to add the games to your download list. Once they're in your list though you can go back and download even after they've been rotated out, basically as long as you keep your subscription.

By the way, there's something really weird about the code, it told me that it was going to set my subscription to Auto Renew and I could either accept that or cancel the code. It then welcomed me to Playstation Plus rather than just saying that I'd added an extra year. When I went to Transaction Management it hadn't set automatic renewal, but when I went to my Services List and found the year's membership, in there there WAS an Automatic Renewal set. So that's really really sneaky! It would have set a renewal next year and I might not have seen!
So be careful with this code if you have got a card set for your PSN payments!

I usually leave my games downloading overnight because you can just leave the console on and it will download and install them by itself and then just switch itself off when it's done.
I have the SuperSlim as well so it typically barely makes a sound and consumes a lot less power than the older machines at the expense of looking and feeling a lot crappier.

The physical codes I have bought before have a redemption expiry date of 2015. I would imagine that the same would apply to these codes as it is likely that 2015 is the year in which Sony have planned to revisit their strategy for this program. Whether or not it's possible to currently extend your membership post-2015 by stacking codes is something I'm not sure about.

I seriously doubt Sony would drop its current subscribers like that. It would be bad business. Especially how hard they pushing subscriptions recently (free 30 day trials and this deal). Their consoles rely on PS Plus to succeed (especially Vita). The more people signed up now, the more who are likely to move onto PS4 to continue their subscription they have already paid for. It's win win for everyone.
Though expect a tier system, carrying over plus members will probably get access to base level (games, discounts). You'll probably have to pay a small fee to upgrade for things like the "share button" , media access (intergration to UStream) and party chat. Which is fair enough because these are services you arent currently paying for.
But that's if Sony are smart. And considering how high the stakes are for the whole company expect some excellent service from Sony for the next couple of years.

No expiry date is supplied so nobody knows. If you buy a physical card with the code there is an expiry date, I think they usually last about 2 years. There is no option to forward the date. It starts on the day you enter it or the day your current plan expires.

Emails with codes always seem to take between 15 minutes to half an hour with Game but as previously stated should be on your order confirmation page.
Just got another year taking me up to March 2015. I'm in no rush to get a PS4 and hope Plus continues on PS3 until at least that time. Worst comes to worst, I also have a Vita so can take advantage of that either way.

The games can be downloaded by the main account only, but on up 2 PS3s. So long as the main account is not deleted from the PS3 any other user can play them. The likelihood of major franchises such as COD, FIFA etc appearing are pretty slim but I would rate games such as Arkham City and Red Dead Redemption as massive sellers and they have been available. There is no way of knowing for certain.
When the current version of Plus with monthly rotation of full games was first announced there were some details on minimum ratings from a site or sites being needed before the games would be considered for inclusion (to ensure the sub was value for money and not full of poor games), someone else may have more info on this.

No nothing at all, you can just use the HDD migration wizard but it does require you to have a spare 3rd drive with enough space on it to make an image of the first one.

I already had a Game account if that made a difference although I hadn't used it for 5 years, rarely use PayPal either but it was linked to a current credit card so only clicked it through lazyness.
Not that it helps you but here's what I saw on screen afterwards, I just logged back into my Game account and it displayed it again. If you don't see this then it does say the details will be emailed, hopefully the up to 24 hours is just them being cautious although I got mine immediately.

Hot price however I think some people are overselling just how great it is.
You get one game per month that is worth downloading - the rest are awful games. Discounts mean nothing as I've always found the playstation store to be very expensive, even with the 10% off. The rest of the freebies are your usual themes and avatars rubbish.
In the past I've always bought my games around the £15 mark and at most loose maybe £5 selling them on, hopefully there will be enough of the big name games to justify the price, I'm not a fan of Mass Effect 3 so here's hoping for next month.

Just a heads up but I noticed something on Amazon for this, I can't find anything else about it anywhere but for those of us adding to an existing subscription it may be worth not redeeming the code until next week.
It could be nothing but they may have jumped the gun on something that shouldn't have been made public until the 20th, it may of course be an Amazon offer since it doesn't specify whether the additional 90 days are downloaded from the PS Store or Amazon.

Over the last few months they've started to add them throughout the month, the announcement for the coming month is usually made on their blog toward the end of the previous month.

It's mentioned on the Amazon UK website here next to the Special Offer bubble, details are very ambiguous and it doesn't say anything about it when you click on the Special Offers and Product Promotions link. I wouldn't have taken much notice of it other than the fact the dates are in the future so it hasn't long been added. As I said it may just be an Amazon offer but there's no harm in holding onto our Game codes for a few more days, more so if we're only adding to an existing subscription.

A lot of online digital content sellers use an autokey tool which they stock up with product codes and it will automatically deliver them as soon as a transaction completes. You only see delays when it runs of stock so either a human has to manually send the codes or restock the autokey.

Say you are buying and selling 2nd hand games. If they cost £10 on average and lost 10% of their value in the time it took to finish them, £1 a game as and when sounds a good option. The reality though is that you will keep some of them and you will have to pay to sell them (i.e. ebay fees and postage) or take a bigger hit on cost trading them. You will also have to take time effort and potentially cash to obtain them. £30 may be more likely to cover the cost of two kept and three traded. In that same time you would have had around 24 games from PS+ and provided you keep subscribing they will continue to be there.
If you buy one or two big releases per year at launch and then hammer the online MP for a year or more with all sorts of DLC, like BF3, then it's wiser to have the disc.
With my Lovefilm, I watch the blu-rays asap then send them back so they dispatch the next one, so that I maximise the number of discs I have each month. Do the same with PS+. Bash through your downloaded games' campaign, then onto the next. You get your value for money and less clutter in your home by not collecting the movies/games and seeing them depreciate in value in front of you.
It's unclear whether your PS+ account and months on PS3 will transfer to your new PS4, but it'd make sense if they implement that as well.
What happens if you buy games on there which are cheaper for PS+ members, then the subscription expires?

I have the SuperSlim as well so it typically barely makes a sound and consumes a lot less power than the older machines at the expense of looking and feeling a lot crappier.

Though expect a tier system, carrying over plus members will probably get access to base level (games, discounts). You'll probably have to pay a small fee to upgrade for things like the "share button" , media access (intergration to UStream) and party chat. Which is fair enough because these are services you arent currently paying for.
But that's if Sony are smart. And considering how high the stakes are for the whole company expect some excellent service from Sony for the next couple of years.
There is no option to forward the date. It starts on the day you enter it or the day your current plan expires.

The likelihood of major franchises such as COD, FIFA etc appearing are pretty slim but I would rate games such as Arkham City and Red Dead Redemption as massive sellers and they have been available. There is no way of knowing for certain.
When the current version of Plus with monthly rotation of full games was first announced there were some details on minimum ratings from a site or sites being needed before the games would be considered for inclusion (to ensure the sub was value for money and not full of poor games), someone else may have more info on this.
As is my 32GB Vita memory card.
I was sceptical at first but wow. Got so many games for free (yes they expire eventually when ya stop paying but so what ya probably played and completed um by then anyway.)
Uncharted for Vita has but none of the PS3 Uncharted's have been included and neither has Heavy Rain or GT5.
The likes of GTA, FIFA and COD will likely never be included.
My Vita is still on a woeful 16GB card because it's hard to justify the price of the 32GB one.

It gets trickier when you try to migrate between consoles, as I found out last Christmas. I ended up having to connect both consoles via an ethernet cable to create 2-way network.

Just for the record I have both PS Plus and XBL active subscriptions, over the past 18 months Sony have left Microsoft for dead. It's my personal opinion so some will disagree. I just think that PS+ offers so much more than XBL which remains predominantly based around online gaming.

I did get a order email from game and its showing in my game account i bought a years psn sub, just dont seem to have the bloody code yet.
The thing is normally the transaction will show in my paypal account but i have nothing.

I already had a Game account if that made a difference although I hadn't used it for 5 years, rarely use PayPal either but it was linked to a current credit card so only clicked it through lazyness.
Not that it helps you but here's what I saw on screen afterwards, I just logged back into my Game account and it displayed it again. If you don't see this then it does say the details will be emailed, hopefully the up to 24 hours is just them being cautious although I got mine immediately.

1) Can I redeem the 30 day trials after the 90 day trial and then add the 365 day subscription?
2) Any danger to inputting the code for the 365 day subscription straight away having registered the 90 day trial? As in, wil it just be 365 days or 365+ 90 days?
2) No danger, the 365 subscription will just add on to your current subscription.
It will add to your current trial, not replace it.

Great deal and it's still valid.
You get one game per month that is worth downloading - the rest are awful games. Discounts mean nothing as I've always found the playstation store to be very expensive, even with the 10% off. The rest of the freebies are your usual themes and avatars rubbish.
In the past I've always bought my games around the £15 mark and at most loose maybe £5 selling them on, hopefully there will be enough of the big name games to justify the price, I'm not a fan of Mass Effect 3 so here's hoping for next month.

I have a 30 day free trial atm, if i add this 1 year subscription will the subscription start from the date my trial finishes or straight away?

It could be nothing but they may have jumped the gun on something that shouldn't have been made public until the 20th, it may of course be an Amazon offer since it doesn't specify whether the additional 90 days are downloaded from the PS Store or Amazon.

If you got it cancelled, ring them. A friend had his pushed through by customer services when he rang them complaining.
