If you have BT broadband you're paying dearly for the privilege.

Is this genuine? Looks dodgy to me. No mention of the offer on linked BT page. Does anyone have more information?
No doubt hoping you sign up to the 12 month contract

Seems a good deal if you're in an area without good network data coverage or wi-fi access.

If you have Vodafone contract, chances are you get 2GB BT Openzone FREE wi-fi !!

This is true, however, completely useless for me - the only BT hotspot in my area is showing 4 miles away in a top hotel I would never visit anyway!

Not all vodafone contracts have 2GB.

Great to have, especially in places like airports where no free wifi exists!

Always wifi in the lounges I'm in at the airport. Though I prefer tethering as it's often faster

Airport lounges are not free either  unless you are on some premium credit card etc.

07800 008 118 should also work instead of 81192 and was included in my text bundle (on GiffGaff) so the deal is completely free.
I notice you can sign up once per day.

Unfortunately for those comparing BT Broadband FON WIFI with BT Openzone is like chalk and cheese.
As a BT customer or if you know someone with BT first log on to their wifi then their hotspot and you have access to
thousands of WIFIs router FONS everywhere except Hull. All this gives you is a few business hotspots if your lucky
voted cold

I think this is brilliant. However, I am a little wary of the BT Openzone locations. In a 10 mile radius there are AP's in: -
Game (x3)
Starbucks (x3)
Morrisons (x1)
Crown court. . . .
From that list I've only been to Morrisons on occasion but I can't say I've been compelled to use the internet in-store.
